For 13€/night, this is the best accommodation you could ever hope for. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the city; the building is surprisingly calm, I never heard any disturbing noise; and the Forenom customer service is extremely kind and helpful. The key code system was convenient, as normally I worry way too much about losing my keys. The laundry room served its purpose, even if the dryer was quite slow and the pen-and-paper booking system was quite old-fashioned. Staying here for seven weeks for a total of 780€ was definitely worth it. However, if I were to pay more than that, I would like these issues to be addressed: - There is a vent in the ceiling of the room that emits a constant loud hum. I managed to make it quieter by rotating the vent, but for a shorter person, that would be impossible. It automatically shuts off between 24:00 and 5:00, which is a relief. - The fluorescent light in the bathroom also makes a humming noise. - The hob in the kitchenette does not have a range hood, meaning that a bunch of cooking grease has accumulated above it in the bottom of the upper cupboard. I tried to scrape it off, but it has hardened there, presumably over several years. - There is no connection for an Ethernet cable, so one is forced to rely on the WiFi. The internet is fast enough, but not the best for data security, and at one point, it was down for a week, forcing me to use the mobile hotspot from my phone for working. - On some mornings, the shower ran out of hot water. - Normally, I’m a very diligent recycler and sort all types of waste, but here, I dared not go anywhere near the food waste dumpster after the first time opening it. It was in mid-August, and the staggering number of fruit flies left me horrified. - One day, the lift was stuck between the floors and I could see straight down the elevator shaft, which was a bit scary and didn’t spark confidence in the safety of the lift.

The location, the view from the room even the customer service is great but the room is getting too old, ac, lift, door almost out of date. But still ok to stay in a while.

Fair price for the accommodation, good location, and parking area is wide.

Family travel for a sporting event. Because of nutritional requirements in preparation for the event we chose Forenom Lahti because of the "kitchen." The accommodation at Forenom Lahti is very basic - more like a dormitory. Read the many reviews here - I won't repeat the details that they give. The lack of a proper reception & service staff means that service is very poor. I reported on a Saturday that the light in our toilet/shower was not working. I received confirmation of receipt of logging this fairly quickly. We checked out on the Tuesday without the problem being corrected - which meant that we had to use the lights on our mobile phones in order to use the toilet/shower for most of the time that we were there. The rooms have a "kitchen" in a cupboard. This is very small & cramped. Because this was a peak demand period we paid a premium price for these rooms. In retrospect, I would have chosen to stay in a proper hotel with reception services. I have stayed in Aparthotels elsewhere in Europe and had good experiences. Forenom Lahti was the worst accommodation experience I have ever had .

The A/C doesn't cool enough...it's like warm air recirculated and the windows are all drilled closed so you cannot open them. Beds are not so clean. The positive thing is it's location in the city of Lathvi and close to a congress hall.
