Excellent new hostel about 1km from the train station and 2.5km from the old town centre. You can take a tram to the old town centre. We were in a 3 bed ensuite room: very clean, quiet and comfortable beds. The reception guy was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good section of bread, chocolate croissant, cheeses, coffees, fruits and cereal.

Location is fine. It's a bit out of the city centre but you can easily walk there or take a bike/bus. The rooms were big and clean and looked new. I didn't understand the lockers in the rooms, you had to set and use a number combination instead of using your own locks that I'm used to from other hostels. The beds were good and you can close them off with a curtain. Beds were already made on arrival and you just have to take the bedding off on check out. There was no WiFi in the rooms but I am told that will happen in a few months. There is WiFi at the reception area. I had to buy an HI France year membership to stay for 2 nights, this was not mentioned on booking or on the website and I've never had that issue at other HI Hostels in the world (it has always been just an option). I was able to use one of the conference rooms with WiFi for free to get some work done. Breakfast is included but I found to be very minimal. Maybe because of the off season and not many guest staying there but 30 minutes before breakfast ended there was basically nothing left. There is a small communal kitchen that you can use. My experience was ruined mostly because of a rude roommate but that's no fault to the hostel. It's a big hostel with a lot of floors and rooms but very few nice communal area's where you could meet people which is a shame because that's the biggest benefit to hostels in my experience.

Very clean and well organized. Got a bit noisy with excitable school children . Excellent breakfast. Overall a good experience
