This is a cheap hotel. What you pay for, . . is what you get. The maintenance of the hotel is far overdue. The positive thing is the price, it is very cheap. The cheapest we encountered.... If you want to have a Quiet Room then don't Go to this Place, the Rooms are very noizy. You can just hear the other people Talking in the room Next to you. Door handles are not Clean, en at certain places sticky. The toilet was Dirty and smelling. No brush to clean the toilet after use. The Shower drain was clocked, and the water just did not want to flow away. The good thing is there is a good amount of very hot water. The heater keeps the room at a good temperature. I have been staying at other hotels of this chain, and there My Experience there was More positive. Maintenance 2 of 10 Cleanliness 2 of 10 Matras 3 of10 I will not return to this hotel, unless I must be in a totally and very desperate situation! The welcoming sign on the hotel shows how things are inside.... If you want a better place, you will have to look elsewhere and pay more...

Stayed here four times the last few years. The last two stays were not noteworthy, to say the least. On one trip, down to our home, we told reception in advance we would not arrive until about 1am,well after reception closes. We were advised to phone them the day before to obtain a gate code for the car park. This I did. It worked well on our arrival. We were given a room very close to where we stayed previously. (yes, they are not opulent but they are clean, small and that's what you expect for the money you are paying: We just need a bed, in a warm, dry room to sleep in. That's all.) The trouble was, there was two of us. Both expecting to use the shower facilities. But, only ONE towel..... Too late to tell reception after a long drive and pouring rain...... In the morning, we went to leave just after 7am. The car park gate was closed and nobody could get out. It was left to someone who had a code!?! On the return stay we arranged to arrive in early evening. This time we were greeted with a queue of four cars in front of us. They couldn't gain entry. The gate was closed but nobody could get reception to answer our calls to open the gate! Eventually, another returning customer had a code to enter..... Same again in our room: Two of us and just ONE towel!!! Please, ensure these simple things are rectified. The towels, the gate to be open when reception is manned. We often stay at the Chartres Première Classe and never have had any problems whatsoever. We are returning, again, December and January. Let's hope it does not become our last stays at this lodging.......

Stayed here for one night on 8th April ‘23 and was disgusted. I stupidly let the cheap rate for the night affect my judgement. I arrived after 1am (this chain of motels has automated check-in, which was one of the reasons I booked it as I knew I would arrived at an unsociable hour). The gate to the parking area was locked and the pedestrian gate had a chain and lock on it. There was a note to ring a telephone number for access and eventually someone answered and gave me an access code to the gate. The automatic checking machine was out of order and a few minutes later a staff member appeared at the door. The bedroom stank of smoke! I thought I’d just get used to it eventually but was not able to sleep throughout the night. It was horrible! The room itself was in a bad state of maintenance, for example the drain in the shower was unattached. The breakfast the next morning was reasonably good but it was hard to appreciate it after such a bad experience in the room. This hotel needs a complete renovation or be shut down.

Very basic hotel but it's cheap. We used it on a cycling trip where we were sharing twin bed rooms. Rooms are small with narrow single beds. Some rooms were triples but the third bed would be a shocker to use. Apathetic service from the person on the reception desk who only spoke French. Bedding was clean. Shower space was very small (so the curtain stuck to you) but the shower was warm and powerful.

In desperate need of refurbishment. Coded gate was closed when I arrived at 7pm. Had to wait for another guest to let me in. Lock on room door was faulty so, I was allocated another room. Staff were very helpful.
