Clean, comfortable, and centrally located — this hotel is a convenient choice for a short stay in Saarbrücken. I stayed here with family in September 2019, and it turned out to be a good choice for a short stay in the city.
The hotel’s central location is a definite highlight. It’s easy to find and perfectly situated with plenty of restaurants and shops just around the corner. Whether you’re looking for a bite to eat or a bit of shopping, everything is within walking distance, which makes it very convenient.
The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. I also appreciated the check-out process — or rather, the lack of one. Once you’ve checked in, you’re free to stay until 12:00 the following day without having to stop by the reception again. It’s a small touch, but it adds to the overall convenience.
However, there were a few drawbacks. While the hotel offers its own parking area at the back, it was completely full during our stay. Thankfully, there’s a large parking garage right next door, but it comes at an additional cost of around €8 for an overnight stay.
The room entry system is an interesting concept — you use a number combination instead of a traditional key or card. While it’s a modern and hands-free approach, the codes aren’t the easiest to remember, so you’ll likely end up carrying the card they provide anyway.
Breakfast was another area where the experience fell a little short. It’s not included in the room price, and the extra charge of ~€11 per person felt quite steep for what was offered.
Overall, the B&B Hotel Saarbrücken is a solid option if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and centrally located place to stay. While some aspects, like parking and breakfast, could be improved, the hotel’s convenient location and thoughtful check-out process make it a good choice for travelers passing through Saarbrücken.
