We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years and we keep returning because of the ease in booking, friendly, helpful staff, cleanliness of rooms and common areas and the wide variety of items on the breakfast buffet. It's central location makes the Rheinischer Hof the ideal hotel base for all of our tours and activities

Great location for my work, clean and tiday, great breakfast just a shame they didn't have a resturant for evening meals. This is the second time I've stayed here and both times have been great.

I had a wonderful stay at Rheinischer Hof! Like a lot of other reviews mention, the breakfast was very good with lots of options, my favorite being the fresh orange juice.
The owner was always welcoming and super helpful, going above and beyond to make sure everything was great.
I enjoyed all the different spa options, including the very hot sauna, the pool, and the relaxation room which had peaceful music and was nicely scented. I had never experienced a sauna like the medium hot with evergreen branches in the bottom, making the experience very nice.
I was glad the hotel wasn’t right in the middle of town as it felt more peaceful, but was still just a short walk to town.
I wish I could have stayed longer, and will definitely be back!

Stayed 3 nights in the annex across the street. Very nice and clean holiday apartment. Even though the hotel was quite full, the notice level was very low. Breakfast had plenty to choose from. The small Stuberl with free coffee and water was a nice perk that I used several times. Staff were very helpful and speak English. Super enjoyable stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The sauna, pool and gym was a nice touch! We really appreciated that after a long trip in. Included breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful! Our only cons were the front desk staff member when we arrived didn’t speak much English and we walked around the block trying to find our room and had to ask for our bus pass. We ended up on the wrong bus and had to get clarification the next day from another staff member. It’s central with realistic walks to everything you need and bus station.

The sauna and steam room were restorative after being out in the cold and rainy weather during our visit. Breakfast was very good. We were in the annex across the street. The room was quiet and spacious, and the view of the mountains from our balcony was fantastic. The hotel could use more staff at reception. Despite that, Rita at reception was very helpful, informative, and cheerful--she is truly one of the highlights of this hotel!

Gorgous view of the mountains, helpful staff, and spacious rooms. You can buy tickets for the Zugspitze at the front desk and pay for the tickets at check out. The location isn't ideal for walking with luggage from the train station. Its about a 30 minute walk. However they will give you a city card for the bus network. Very happy with our experience and would happily stay again.

The SPA and breakfast are outstanding!!! We came across this hotel accidentally, but will be returning for life. Cannot recommend enough. The only drawback whatsoever were the beds. They are a little tired. Pillows are exceptional. Loved our entire experience and we did not want to leave. It’s a destination unto itself!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could 💕💕💕

We spent 3 nights here in mid-August to go up the Zugspitze and hike the Partnach gorge, and we had a lovely stay! We stayed in a jumbo room across from the main hotel. It was spacious and comfortable, Rita st the front desk was so helpful and went above & beyond to assist us. The new indoor pool is lovely and the breakfast was fantastic I’ve traveled Europe and this was a great deal for the money. The bus stop was right outside and we were given bus tickets to ride into town. The view of the Alps from our balcony was breathtaking. We’d definitely stay here again!

Tough to rate this property…..
Bad - This hotel has the worst pillows possibly in the whole world. I knew I was going to wake up with a bad neck and boy did I ever. We had to borrow a fan because our room was hot and stuffy and would only cool off at night. The fan also masked the noisy traffic being on a Main Street. Limited parking and having to jaywalk every time going to breakfast or pool.
The bathroom was terrible with the toilet and shower separated by only a curtain. The shower flooded under the toilet and where you stand for all 3 days. Unreal.
Good - The breakfast buffet was good. The pool was decent. The spa area was nice with 3-4 saunas a cold room and relaxation room. I enjoyed using the sauna and showers.
Not the best location. We almost cut our losses and left after the first night being so uncomfortable but we decided to tough it out.
