In my opinion, the communication I received from Ch. M. Seeger-Schnizer regarding the late check-in arrangements was very inadequate. The instructions given to me were vague and inadequate. It turned out that the room assigned to me was marked "006" on the cards I received from the locker. However, it turned out that this room was incorrect because the hotel staff had carelessly assigned identical symbols to multiple rooms.
It was unreasonable for the hotel to assume that I, as a guest, would be aware of this erroneous signage system. Unlike the signs on the hotel's facade, which clearly indicated the direction of the reception and suites, the instructions I received did not indicate that the room I was assigned was in the same building as the reception. As a result, my fiancée, who is pregnant, and I had no choice but to spend the night in our car in the hotel parking lot after a grueling 10-hour trip.
What's more, upon checking in, the receptionist admitted his mistake and offered me a refund, coffee and access to a shower and bed as compensation for his mistake. This only underscored the fact that the hotel was aware of its mistake. Moreover, during check-out, the same receptionist assured me that my money would be refunded within a week. I trusted her words and decided to take her up on her offer, taking a shower and napping for a while before continuing on my journey but now it turns out that she deliberately deceived me about the refund, writing me that "I actually used the shower and bed, so no refund is due."
