Blood Stains Left Unclean in the Room – Serious Concerns About Hygiene and Zero Solutions from Staff
If you’re looking for solutions, they simply refund your money and leave you to resolve the night on your own. This sums up the level of service at this so-called 4-star hotel. The facilities and services are far below what you’d expect for such a rating.
Not recommended for anyone who values quality service or even basic hygiene standards. My experience here in Karlsruhe was deeply disappointing, far below the level I’ve come to expect from other hotels in the Leonardo,'s chain.
The hotel boasts a beautiful lobby, but the rooms are of poor quality, and customer service is utterly disappointing. A regrettable experience – this establishment does not live up to its reputation. Avoid if you care about cleanliness or a proper hotel stay.

Location wise very accessible to train station (walk or tram) and city centre (tram). Tram station is just outside the hotel.
Room was acceptable. Bed was firm. Locker wasn’t working.
The worst part of our stay, was that they gave us a room just opposite the utility closer / housekeeping station. And housekeeping starts as early as 630am ! And they were not gentle at all with pushing their carts in and out.
2 out of 3 elevators were out of service during our stay. We took the stairs more than half the time.
I know not to expect much for 50€ a night but I think our expectations are pretty reasonable.

Excellent place, friendly staff. upgraded us to suits as one bed was short in the room. Did not cause any fuss in upgrading. car park is payable but secure and next to hotel. I cannot remember the names of staff but all were excellent and professional.

Very friendly staff, my room was obviously newly renovated and really very good, also the bathroom. The elevator Situation, though, is a joke. 2 of 3 tiny elevators out of service in a high-rise building is not o.k. at all.

When I arrived, I was welcomed by a dirty carpet and also sticky desk, probably from cups used by a guest before me. A tap in the bathroom was broken, and water was going all around the bath. Also, when checking in, I wasn't informed that money reservation from my card was not successful, so I ended up one night kissing the door of my room and having an unpleasent experience at the desk. Simply solved by using a credit instead of a debit card.
This is my third time staying here in the last two years with colleagues from the firm, but we agreed to change our hotel in the future.
