We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It was comfortable and cozy, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay – a kettle, utensils, a comfy bed, and even paper towels in the bathroom. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the heating worked perfectly, ensuring a cozy atmosphere throughout my stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was also perfect, with all the main attractions within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

The bed was a bit too firm for many people's taste. I Enkoyed it though. The service wasn't bad, but when checking in the receptionist weren't too keen on explaining the parking rules in the area. The hotel is advertised as having a spa, at Hotels.com. that is a bit of a stretch to call it a spa. The hotel has a tiny gym, a shower and a sauna. No pools or anything else one would expect from a spa experience

I’ve stayed here already two times and definitely will choose this place again. Rooms are very clean, though not super new, and sometimes there’re some issues like leaking shower door, but all in all, the level of comfort vs price is quite good (especially if you book in advance, 2-3 months before). Cleaning in the rooms is good enough, though it was a bit strange that the garbage was not taken out, though the towels were changed. Hairdryer was quite outdated unfortunately, so this is definitely a point for improvement. The sofa in the Comfort 2-rooms apartment is comfortable enough for one person for a couple of nights. Special highlight is location - still close by foot to the city center, but also easily accessible with the public transport, at the same time absolutely calm and quiet at night.

NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN. Context: We are two young women from the U.S. who stayed for six nights. When I first booked the hotel, I called to ensure the bedding was feather-free, as my best friend and I are both very allergic to feather pillows and comforters. I was assured that we were getting a feather-free room. The morning before we checked in, I called again to ensure we had feather-free bedding, and I was assured we did. Then, at check-in, I asked the front desk staff if it was feather-free, and I was once again assured that it was. Once we arrived at our room (after being told to use the wrong elevator bank and had to go back down to the lobby and walk to an entirely different elevator bank), to our surprise, the pillows and bedding were, in fact, NOT feather-free. After trying to call down to the lobby using the phone in the room (which did not work), I had to physically return to the front desk to ask them to please bring feather-free bedding. The rooms were pretty beat up. There were scratches on the walls, missing corners of walls (as they had been damaged), and scratched pots. On our first day (Sunday…the night after we checked in), we asked housekeeping to clean the room. They did a fine job but ate some of the snacks we had left out in the kitchen. We were both very weirded out, making us both uncomfortable. On Wednesday night (we checked out on Friday), we asked for a late checkout at 2 p.m. The gentleman who helped us was very kind and assured us that this was not an issue and that we would not be charged an additional fee. Come Friday at around 1:45 p.m., we two young women were zipping up our bags and changing into our clothes to go to the airport when a man from housekeeping (without knocking) opened the front door. We immediately got dressed and opened the door. He was standing directly in front of our room. We said that we had until 2 p.m. to check out and to please wait until then, and we were met with attitude. We were also given no apology for opening the door on us. At 2:05 p.m., we were at the front desk and were told, with attitude, that we owed a fee for checking out late because “we were supposed to check out at 11 a.m.” We both calmly (while also confused) communicated to the person checking us out that we were told on Wednesday night that we were given late checkout without a fee. After several minutes of back-and-forth (with much attitude), it was agreed that we would not pay the late fee. We would have happily paid if we had known of the late checkout fee on Wednesday night. Instead, we were told that it was free, and then this fee was sprung on us with disrespect and attitude. I want to clarify that the majority of the front desk and cleaning staff were lovely and very kind. We were happy to see familiar faces and say hello throughout our trip. We are already planning our next trip to Berlin and will not stay here again. This is unfortunate, given the convenient location, access to transportation, and many nearby attractions.

Pros The Premium Studio had three separate “areas;” bed/sleeping, living room (couch, coffee table & and armless sitting chair) & small dining area with a table for 2 & kitchenette. That’s exactly what I needed. Utensils were sparse and the ones there were cheap. Hotel should stock kitchen better. Cannot comment on housekeeping as I chose to forego daily housekeeping. I was traveling solo & had no need for daily housekeeping. Two sets of towels were provided. Mondrian met my needs for a 6-night stay; it’s basic. If you want high-end Towels, linens, furnishings, design, you wont find it here. The walk-in shower had EXCELLENT water pressure & a no-slip tile floor (which was an excellent feature). The radiators are strong; be careful not to overheat the room. Careful with door as it does not close unless you pull it shut. Two washers/dryers in basement which were convenient (although difficult to find a free one). Loved having a small balcony to enjoy (very cold) fresh air. Did not add breakfast. But there’s a mid-sized Lidl supermarket a block away. I bought Nespresso coffee capsules & (fresh, cheap & delicious) baked good, yogurt, cheese, crackers, fruit, etc. The hotel only provides 2 coffee capsules…so walk one block & get coffee & everything else you may want. There’s a good sitting cafe in the corner should you prefer that instead of organizing your own breakfast in your room. Tap water is drinkable but I still bought bottled water at Lidl. Location is good. Bus M29 stops in the corner. Checkpoint Charlie U-station 2.5 blocks away. I even walked from the Concert Hall back to the hotel one evening; a brisk 20 min walk. It’s safe & easy to walk in Berlin Mitte in the evening (even though it was dark by 4 pm). You can get anywhere from this location using excellent public transportation. I recommend getting either a Welcome Berlin card that includes transportation or just a multi-day transit pass. I got the Welcome Card for 6 days & not sure if it made sense in terms of savings & where I went in 6 days. I may edit the review & post it. 24-hr hotel reception w/ (very) helpful English-speaking. Hotel lobby is very nice; loved sitting near their operating fireplace. There’s a bar but I never saw a bartender or anyone using it. Excellent price (if booked early). I paid about half of what I would’ve paid had I waited to book. Cons One elevator for so many apartments; minor inconvenience. Nespresso listed as a feature; but only 2 capsules are provided. That was disappointing as other hotels that feature espresso machines include coffee. Oh well. TV in the studio but there were no English, Spanish or Italian language channels; used excellent hotel WiFi to access my DirectTV account. Hotel should add a few foreign language channels.
