We had a very nice 3-days trip with our dog there. The staff is nice and polite, the breakfast is delicious, it offers a variety of different food. The surrounding area is amazing. Dogs are more than welcome. The SPA area is more than enough and we had a very relaxing time. I would definitely recommend the hotel and come back some time.

Wow, incredible stay. For the price of this hotel, it was a steal as far as american standards go. The hotel is lovely, staff is kind and food was good. It felt straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie ( just needed a christmas tree and more decorations). It includes the suana and has a workout room and pool. There's also a billiards room at the bar and a cute library area with books and board games by the fireplace in the lobby area. Our room, lake view, was better in person than the website photos i was shocked! I would say, though, be aware the suites are in a separate building from the main hotel, so walking to dinner or the spa in the cold isn't for everyone. Breakfast was included in the price, again so amazing. Lunch was fantasic. Dinner buffet was hit or miss and very expensive to not include drinks. My only suggestion to make this place even more amazing would be a shuttle into town or to the Zugspitze. We had a car so it was fine by us but I can see people without a car not booking this incredible hotel due to the location. We did adore being in the hills and the views and serenity, but again, we had a car making it easy on us. We did walk to town since the walk it's quaint and we like to walk but with luggage there's no way, you'd have to pay for a taxi. Honestly, this hotel was so reasonably priced. I would say they could charge more to include shuttles or have people pay extra for each use and still think it's worth it! Parking is free outdoors, but we opted for the parking garage for a fee of $10 a night to avoid scrapping the frost off our car each morning. Highly recommend this was our favorite party of our trip it was so beautiful 😍.

Exquisite hotel! The room was beautiful! We had a balcony with ours overlooking a small waterfall, room 155. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The terrace is amazing, great place to eat and drink outside. 50 feet away is another restaurant, lakeside, overlooking a lake and the mountains. You can swim in the lake, paddle-board, paddle boat, etc. The hotel has a wellness center, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a sauna. The food at the hotel and lakeside restaurant was very good. They have a nice bar, as well, with billiards. This is a charming hotel nestled in the side of a mountain overlooking the countryside. The Hotel is very near the Zugspitze, just a short ride away. The rooms are very clean, beautiful wood and mirrors everywhere. Our room included a safe, refrigerator, armoire, robes, slippers, plenty of outlets. There are bike and hiking trails. This hotel is dog friendly with doggie balconies for their potty needs. We highly recommend this hotel. We give it 5 stars!

We got married at the Riessersee Hotel, and were hosting a total of 30 people. While getting to the hotel initially is a bit tricky without a car - it is a bit out of the city of Garmisch and up a 5 minute drive over a switchback road - it was 100% worth it. Everybody loved their rooms with a view of either the Garmisch valley or directly at the Zugspitze, the breakfast was amazing, and the wedding itself (we rented the Seehaus, separate building on the lake) went amazingly well. The total cost for this was shockingly low, considering how much we would have paid in the US: I will not say exact numbers but it was in the 5-10k range. A very warm recommend!

Nice hotel, the views are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. My only issue is that the entryways to the doors are dangerous if you do not watch your step.
