Beautiful location very close to the village of Bad Saarow and directly at the nearby lake. The holiday home we rented was clean and fully equipped with a nice kitchen bathroom and sufficient quality of beds. Unfortunately no air-conditioning which would have been great ( we were there with 25+ celcius conditions)

Very friendly staff. Close to the lake House is clean and roomy. The sauna was much appreciated. Renting bikes is something really to consider; ee enjoyed it. Downside, we had to wash all the kitchen wear for it was sticky. WiFi was not available in the house; the kids were not amused. Several bathrooms had no lock it latch which for the multi family house we got was not nice. The remark "we do not fix it anymore because previous guests broke the lock" ... Well I'll leave it for your judgement. The environment is great. Please consider to bring along moskito nets for there are plenty of them so close to the lake.

Great view over the lake and peaceful location. Accommodation comfortable and clean. However, the property is marketed as having wifi. Forget that! - if you can connect - and that is a big if! - it is unbelievably slow. In this day and age, if you are going to market your property as having wifi, this kind of connection experience is unacceptable and a misrepresentation of the facts. Also, despite the fact that we were out of the property most of the time we were there, and were deliberately careful with water and electricity use (these are billed separately), we were hit with a 50 Euro charge for water and electricity on check-out (12 Euros water, 38 Euros electricity). We were there for only three nights, arriving around 5.00 pm on the first day and leaving at 10:00 on the third day. This is a real rip-off! They are clearly making a lot of profit on these utility charges. Thirdly, despite the fact that we paid a 70 Euros cleaning fee on check-in, we were expected to leave the accommodation swept clean (it states this in the property information folder). This begs the question: what is the 70 Euro cleaning fee for if guests are expected to sweep the property before departure? We did clear the ashes from the wood-burning stove, washed all the dishes and left the property very tidy as we were worried about losing our 100 Euro deposit, but it made for a stressful departure day with two young children - in particular given my next point.... The latest check-out time is a not-particularly-generous 10:00. Fair enough, we can live with a 10:00 check-out time although later would have been preferable. However, we were told that we needed to make an appointment with a staff member to come and take meter readings for electricity and water consumption prior to departure. When we requested a time of 10:00 am for this appointment we were told that they were busy and could only fit us in at 09:10 am. When the staff member arrived (early!) at 08:55 am, she not only wanted to take meter readings and check over the property, she wanted to take the keys and asked us to vacate the property there and then! So we were effectively being asked to check-out at 09:00 instead of 10:00. Added to which she was aggressive and had an unpleasant, bossy manner. We protested that we had only been asked by the reception staff to make an appointment for meter readings - not to actually vacate the property at 09:00. Instead of apologising and backing down she replied: "if everybody wanted to check out at 10:00 it would be impossible for us - we have people arriving later today who are staying in this apartment!" Er.... how about recruiting more staff then? - Is that the guests' problem? The staff at the reception were fine - but watch out for the aggressive, bossy check-out inspector - she seemed to have forgotten who actually pays her salary, and made for an unpleasant and stressful check-out. In summary: nice views, pleasant location. Appalling wifi, rip-off utility charges, stressful check-out experience, unfriendly inspector trying to bulldoze you into vacating the property early. Not recommended.

Nice houses, no lakeview, overpriced. Shop and reception close at 18:00. No restaurant or bar. High charges afterwards for electricity and water consumption (7 euro per 1m3 water!) while paying 1000 euro for 1 week. Great jacuzzi and sauna. Staff is uninspired and just doing their jobs, nothing more. Wifi was free, but never worked. We've seen better.

Service Wüste Deutschland - Schlosspark am See - We got a house near a road, which I didn't expect with this title of holiday resort. It meant no relaxing sleep and being woken up very early every morning. I went to reception to talk with them about it. They were not accommodative at all and only said that they were fully booked - which I didn't believe because we saw houses standing empty and people departing all the time. By arrival our pre ordered and already paid for bedlinen and towels were not in the house. I had to pick it up from the reception and carry the heavy load to our house myself, followed by doing our own beds after a long drive! I think the male receptionist was more interested in being on his mobile than by helping me to carry it over to our house. Not even a sorry from the staff member for their mistake. Quilts, beds and cushions not comfortable. In the evening we wanted to prepare our first meal but discovered that the cupboard with the cooking pots was jammed, so couldn't access and therefore no means to prepare our family meal. I went to reception the next day and it was sorted but without a nice comment from staff member and the cupboard was damaged and couldn't be closed anymore during our whole stay. Next evening the TV was not working. My next trip the next morning to the reception to report it. Again it was sorted but no courtesy of the staff at all not even an " sorry for the inconvenience". Another evening, in the middle of watching a Krimi, the TV didn't work anymore which was quite frustrating. At that stage I had given up to report it to the staff the next day. One of the reasons I booked this place was that it advertises sailing courses opportunities. When going down to the provider (which is independent but on the premises and I guess in partnership) we were told that they only have 1 man who is looking after 2-3 centres around the lake and he is only offering surfing courses and therefore couldn't also offer a sailing course. Then don't advertise it or employ more staff! When hiring stand up paddling boars we had to get them ourselves, carry them to the lake ourself and return and carry them back after the hire while the staff member was sitting there watching us. Good customer service? Apart from that there is not that much to do. Bike rental is quite high and after all the "inconveniences" we had I would have expected at least some kind of customer service of reducing e.g. the bike hire for a day or some sort - but nothing not even a sorry. Houses are ok but if not looked after will soon look run down (already in need of painting etc). Wifi is very poor, playground small and only for small children, only 1 table tennis and the sandy ground is so low where the players are positioned that playing is quite difficult even for grown ups. Also to put a family with teenage children (age known when you book) next to the playground for small children shows that staff has no eye for detail for their guests. It was loud next to the playground. Also being close to the rubbish collection point meant that we were woken up by guests deposing their glass bottles into the containers before their early check out and departure! At check out on Sunday morning we were hit by a nearly Euro 80 extra bill for electricity and water extra which is a complete rip off!! This holiday park has a ok location, someone invested money some time ago, but with its' very poor customer service, unfriendly and unhelpful staff and no customer orientation and also how the property is not looked after it will go downhill. I left all my comments on the satisfactory sheet at the reception but somehow doubt that it will reach for whom its meant to be. All in all no value for money as it is not cheap to stay at the Schlosspark Bad Saarow!
