Poor service, the all area is under construction, very small room & inconvenient.

4 amazing days. Just back from a great city break. Hotel superbly located for the main train station and a 10 minute easy walk to the old town. Staff incredibly helpful and courteous. Rooms really spacious and of a high quality. Spa excellent and the bar area was a really nice vibe - would definitely stay again!

Not a great location, next to train station with many road constructions.

Very clean, excellent service, breakfast was amazing, right next to train station. I didn't like that the WC was located very far away from restaurant, breakfast, bar. Very inconvenient. It was a sketchy area at night. Best dining was a 20 - 30 minute walk. Check in was a bit slow.

The overall location for this property is great, however there is a lot of construction going on in Munich now.

The Sofitel is an excellent hotel. The staff was as nice and polite as they could be. My room was super clean, spotless! American charging port and USB port also.

Stayed flying in and out of Munich. Great location and extremely comfortable hotel. Lovely staff. We enjoyed breakfast each morning and our room was very nice.

Poorly trained staff ruined the experience of this hotel. Check in was very unfriendly missing out all the important information. I wouldn’t go back.

Loved being close to dining, shopping and shopping and some fantastic sights of Munich.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel, which is perfectly tailored for families. The excellent buffet breakfast offered a delightful start to our days, and the warm, welcoming staff truly made us feel at home. One of the standout features for us was the spa that accommodates children—it's rare to find such a luxury in high-end hotels, and we greatly appreciated it! Our king bed was incredibly spacious and comfortable, ensuring restful nights. We were also impressed by the quality toiletries provided, including thoughtful separate options for our child. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the central train station, with many amenities just a few minutes' walk away. While we did notice quite a few rough sleepers in the immediate area due to the proximity to the station, we felt safe throughout our stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

Decent hotel. Not sure it’s 5 star. Nice spa and pool but Uk travellers beware nudity required in the sauna and sea room. We were told to take our swimming costumes off!!!

The service at the front desk was top notch. The bathroom of the hotel room was not acceptable. Design, layout and comfort were lacking in addition to lack of privacy. I requested the room cleaned and received a note that they could not get into the room. Also, not acceptable. Location next to train station was good, spa fantastic.

Generally, this was an excellent hotel for our 2-night stay in Munich. The location is conveniently adjacent to the train station, though it is also a short walk to the historic city center. The room was comfortable and clean. The cake and coffee special in the lobby bar was delightful! Two issues - due to a miscommunication between the front desk and concierge, it took over an hour to have our luggage delivered to our room. Ultimately, I had to return to the lobby to inquire about the status of our luggage and then had to identify it in their storage room. Second, the pool in the spa is open to children until 7pm, which means tiny humans enjoy the pool as if it were the main pool for the hotel (think goggles, splashing, running, shrieking, etc.). It's not a relaxing hotel spa pool environment before 7pm. Also, it is not clear if the saunas/steam room/showers are textile optional or textiles required. With small children running around, I was more comfortable in a swimsuit. However, the spa staff member approached me to let me know that swimsuits were NOT allowed in the sauna/steam/showers area (explaining to me that I could cover up with a towel if I preferred), which was concerning for several reasons (why not let guests do what makes them feel comfortable?). We did not return to the spa on our second night, so it might have been staff-specific in that moment.
