The hotel is very centrally located close to all you want to reach. Con: no parking - for me with bicycle no matter. I got a huge 4-bed apartment for a good rate. Interiors of this historical house are from the 2010s, quite up to date. They lack already several functionalities, which means the close attention of the tecnician is needed otheewise all would run down shortly. In sum the essential things worked, noise protection to the main street is excellent. Best feature is the bakery and pastry shop in the ground floor opened also sunday until late.

One star is too much. Very rude man at reception, was shouting at me and more at my female friend. We didn’t feel safe staying at this place.

Everything about the hotel was very good. The location was top notch. Right in the centre. The host always tries his best to find you a parking place. He was very kind. The hotel itself is clean, with very nice bedrooms and bathrooms. We liked everything about it. Our towels were changed every day. We liked it a lot.

Great location right in the centre of the town. Parking is a bit of a problem but that's expected given the location. We got one of the refurbished 2- room options (the hotel is an old downtown building) and it was nice and clean. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is big enough to have some decent space. The neighborhood is noisy so windows open is not an option. There was a view of the central street and shops from the small balcony but again it's too noisy to sit outside. The place is good for a short city break and the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it's not wheelchair accessible and the stairs are a bit difficult for people with disabilities. There is an elevator though.

Hotel Metropolis is the best place to stay in Serres or anywhere in Greece for that fact. I was in a tight spot when I came to Greece. I couldn't cross the Bulgarian Border because of a technicality and had to stay in Greece, not knowing the country as it was my first time here and not knowing where I was going to stay while my problem was solved and in fact not knowing when my problem would be solved. The staff here was beyond excellent in helping me with everything. Accommodations were on a day to day basis, NO PROBLEM FOR THEM. Then I stayed 10 days, NO PROBLEM. Then another 4 days, NO PROBLEM. My problem was finally resolved after a 15 day stay at Hotel Metropolis and I must say it was great, despite my situation. The staff at the front desk greeted me every morning when I went out for coffee with a handshake and a smile. Asked me about my problem. Friendly people and I truly call them friends after this. The rooms are great. A real home feeling compared to other hotels I have stayed at. The price is perfect and if you want breakfast, which I wish I had gotten, it looks great. Be sure that when you stay here at Hotel Metropolis you will not be treated as just money walking through the door. These people actually care about you and be prepared for conversation at the front desk with laughs and friendly smiles.
