One of the most amazing places we’ve ever visited on our many travels - truly. The moment we arrived, we could immediately feel and see that this was not just an ordinary place. Every single detail is crafted with so much love and care, it’s simply unbelievable. During our stay, we discovered that this home was built by a Hollywood director in collaboration with a renowned star architect. He spent almost three years on this project, creating a space for his family and friends. And once you see it, you understand why—his dedication explains exactly why this place is so unique and special. This house is one of five properties on the estate and was actually designed as the director’s personal retreat. The architecture blends seamlessly with the indescribably beautiful surroundings. Nestled right by the ocean and surrounded by breathtaking Balinese nature, the setting is simply magical. The house itself offers stunning views—on one side, the endless ocean, and on the other, a majestic volcano. Absolutely magnificent. Beyond the extraordinary setting, the staff on-site was incredible - so kind, attentive, and truly fantastic. There were around 15 team members, and while I can’t name everyone, I do want to highlight a few exceptional individuals: • Ratih – The manager, always available for us, even on WhatsApp, despite his child being in the hospital at the end of our stay. • Mertanu – The yoga teacher we booked for morning sessions. He has an amazing presence and offers physically challenging classes if you ask for them. My wife and I absolutely loved it and booked daily sessions. I’m a CrossFit and Pilates fan but a yoga beginner, while my wife loves power yoga, and we both had a fantastic experience. • Sarjana – The healer who gave me one of the best massages I’ve ever had. • Nyoman Sari, Ketut Berata & Putri – The chefs who prepared absolutely fantastic Balinese and Indonesian home-cooked cuisine. They were so amazing that during our three-day stay, we, as true food lovers, never even considered dining out. Everything was freshly made, and they were among the few chefs in Bali who could prepare authentic local dishes without garlic for my wife - something rare to find! The menu isn’t too extensive, but for a few days, it was perfect. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. For us, it was worth every penny.

This place is incredible. The structures themselves are super unique, well equipped and well decorated. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable, providing everything from meals to medicine (should you require it), taxis and suggestions. The food was great, and very reasonably priced. We would return!

Just magical - my husband and I got married here end of June 2024. It far exceeded our expectations - the property is just stunning. The staff are super helpful and you really feel looked after during your stay here. Most of all, we loved the quirkiness of the property - there were many cool artifacts and statues throughout which made it a really special place with lots of character. We stayed in villa agung which was so beautiful and spacious! We could hear the waves just outside our door, & views of the volcano & sunrise. The food was all great too. We will definitely return to villa Campuhan ! Big thanks for making our wedding so memorable.

The place is exceptional, authentic, warm, decorated with great taste. You feel at home from the first seconds. The staff is unbelievably kind and attentive. The food is very refined and if you want to offer yourself a moment of relaxation and flavors, try the banana cocktail. We extended our stay, after having toured the island we found no equal to this paradise on earth. We had the chance to meet the owners who are 2 people as exceptional as their place. Knowing the history of this place made it even more unique to us. Thank you again, we will miss you, but count on us to come back very soon!

Villa Agung is nothing short of astounding. Two showers, a tub with excellent ocean view, and a private pool. The construction is very thematic, all wooden teak and bamboo. The bed has a gorgeous framed view of Mount Agung, when the clouds permit viewing. When we arrived, the tub invited us to cool off and soak with thousands of colorful flowers. The provided incense in a pair of bamboo leaf offering plates beautifully amended the scene. The construction is fairly open which lets in the roar of pounding surf. I recommend earplugs if that will bother you. The structure is too breathable to permit full air conditioning, but it is naturally cool-ish even during the hot November weather. There is a portable air conditioner which can cool the inside of the bed's mosquito net, somewhat. The campus is fairly large and nice to explore. I preferred to take dinner in the large common area, but you can also dine in your villa. The location is not too far from nearby Candidasa, Tenganan village, and two water palaces. However a sign at the beginning of the dirt road forbids online taxi pickup. They prefer you to overpay for local taxi service. Massages were priced in the upper range, but were so nice (and conveniently on-location) that I did not mind.
