This vacation to El Salvador was my first in 10 years. My husband planned this trip as he is from here and wanted to give us a different experience here.
The resort was nice and clean. The staff was great. The food was good. There was plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance which made it very convenient.
The ‘hot tub’ didn’t have the jets on and the water wasn’t hot like what you would think hot tub water should be.
Other than that we had a great experience and time here

We had such an incredible stay!
The rooms and the environment itself were very clean and every staff member was incredibly hospitable.
From the room, to the pool, massages, and recommendations that were given.. 10/10 would recommend. We loved that it was a quieter environment in El Tunco however, the town, restaurants, and beach were only a 5 minute walk. We definitely plan on coming back! Thank you to everyone at Boca Olas, you made our stay so special!

Really nice spot to stay a couple of nights. The rooms have the amenities you need. However, the showers are very cold here, with no option with a heated shower head, so showering in the morning is very cold. No laundry facilities where you can wash & dry your own laundry. Breakfast is included in rental and is "Delicious"!! The location is nice, just a small walk away from the #El Tunco playa rock, bars, and restaurants. It's a small beach, lots of rocks! There is a natural water way that spills into the ocean. During the week the beach is calm not to many tourists.

We needed a place for our last night in El Tunco and wanted a place close to town, but not too close to the Night Live. Boca Olas was exactly that. One of the best quality contemporary rooms we had in El Salvador. The food in the restaurant by the river is well prepared. The pool bar is well equipped and serviced. The massage is recommended, especially after 2 weeks of surfing :)

Visitors as day guests got charged 2 different prices. So very expensive for what it turned out to be! We wanted to go in the jacuzzi but they turned the jets off. Got out - turned them back on.
Food was lovely but took an age to arrive. Short walk. To the beach.
But $80 as day guests ($30 off food bill) for a small pool I’d never come back.
The hotel itself seemed okay.
