This hotel has three lovely pools, a great view from the roof terrace, which has a pool and the spa is nice too. The rooms are nothing special but ok. The food, and service however seems to be from another planet. Never ever have I had such bad service at dinner. It was consistantly just awful. This hotel is understaffed, the stsff they do have is frustrated and unmotivated. The food it self is either boring and or cold. This hotel takes one plate of food and serves it's component as three corses. One ends up with a cold piece of fish on the plate with nothing else on it. This stay was one week of food hell.

There are three things I had never done in my life: left a restaurant without eating a drinking anything, left breakfast in a hotel hungry and thirsty, and left a hotel before the end of the reservation that I had made. That changed with the hotel grand Terme di Augusto. It's worth noting even leaving wasn't stress-free, while I had 1 member of staff say that the manager had agreed to let me go without me having to pay for an additional night, I had another saying that I did. Once upon a time there was probably a nice hotel which may be even earned its five stars, but those days are long gone and in terms of the facilities and service provided by the staff I would rate it about the two stars, at best. I arrived and someone said they would take me to my hotel room, then they asked me to sit because floor of the room was wet, no-one came back, and some 30 minutes later I asked the person who was cleaning the rooms if I could go in. I was given no information about the hotel, meal times or anything similar and this meant I didn't even know where the swimming pools where, and had to ask. When I enquired about putting something in the mini bar (medication), I was informed that only medicine or items bought from the hotel could be stored there, once upon a time that might have been standard I don't find it acceptable nowadays and I will spend more in a hotel where they give me the freedom to choose. On the subject of swimming pools, the external pool on the ground level looked like it been closed for 6 months, when I went up to the rooftop one it was marginally better, but only just. It totally lacked soul as an area, and desperately needs something and while the pool itself was usable, it's clear that the space next to it used to be a smaller pool and is now used as additional sun lounger space. To an extent the indoor pool saves the day, but again there's just a lack of care, water on the floor, the paint is peeling quite badly in places and while the sodium content is natural spring water can cause that this feels like it's older than that. If there was a Jacuzzi I never found it, and the sauna and steam room appeared to be out of use. The layout of the hotel is just strange, and there's nothing to really help guests work out where they're trying to be. I was feeling very let down by the hotel, but had decided to give dinner a chance before I made any final decisions. I went down for dinner, was shown to my table and was told what I would be eating that night. When I asked was there not a choice I was told no. When I said that I didn't want one of the things on the fixed menu I was told they would make an alternative but I wasn't told what this would be. I had been given my starter which appeared to be two slices of meat and one slice of cheese, this was drying around the edges and looked like it it had been plated hours earlier, on a tray across from the table I could see the plates of pasta which again looked like they had been plated hours before. if it was a dinner for a thousand people, I.e. mass catering I would accept nearly that, but not in a hotel that which is saying that its five star. I left without eating anything, and was quite upset and told the people on reception that I wished to leave in the morning, they said they would let the owner know that I wish to speak with them and that he would be about 9 am. I went out and bought a pizza, by the way, if you are paying for dinner, bed and breakfast in a hotel, you should not need to go and buy a pizza in order to have eaten something for dinner. The following morning I went to breakfast and while there was bread which tasted stale, the fruit juice out the machine was so acid I couldn't drink, and the waiter said he would do me a favour and go and get me an espresso from the back, this was bitter and not the normal consistency that I would expect, in the end I left without eating much else, just one slice of cake as there was no real choice and most of the plates on the buffet were empty and had not been refilled.

Incredible location.. rooms not especially clean.. dirt in corners, doors to balcony couldn't open without kicking and pulling in it with all my bodyweight.. but the pools both outside and inside itself is worth the stay! The breakfast was the worst of all hotels we stayed on.. and dinner was to late and really boring.

I love this hotel so much because all the staffs are very much pleasant & the place is nice.
