La Gemma was one of our most memorable hotel stays ever. Everyone was very welcoming and the hotel was inquisitively stunning. The individualized service was exceptional, friendly, and the hotel accommodations were beautiful. The bar and breakfast menus were divine.

Hotel did not honor any of VIP status offerings whoch is very disappointing... The second hotel that advertised VIP offerings and did not gove them ...I book alot of hotels which advertise those features ... I feel it is very deceptive based on that im giving a average rating!

Spectacular stay in a gorgeous room, in a magical location. This is the second year in a row that I’ve visited Florence and stayed at La Gemma. The staff is fantastic and attentive to the details and will make your stay memorable: La Gemma will continue to be my go to hotel when visiting Florence.

Hotel is beautiful and the room was lovely. Our only issue was that they did not accommodate an early check in. We were there before noon and understood that we could not check in immediately. But it could have been completely possible to offer a room by 1 or 2 pm. Instead they made us wait until 3 pm because that is check in time. They offered a free beverage; but when you are a very tired traveler, a drink does not compensate. Again, it takes 20 minutes max to turn a room over—having to wait three hours does not seem reasonable.

Great location, great staff, fanatic room. Only draw back is for safety reasons they do not provide either a steamer or iron in the room and won’t bring one to you unless you pay for their cleaning service (which I didn’t think was fair at all). Bar that we had an amazing time

We had a two room suite and it was lovely. Our son was thrilled to have his own king size bed and bathroom. The location was in the nicest shopping district. We were there during one of the hottest weeks this summer. The a/c was not the coolest of all the hotels we stayed in but we requested two fans and couldn’t be happier.
