I did not stay in this hotel . I recently visited Varenna, seen this hotel and thought would be a lovely place to have coffees and pastries . Upon trying to enter i was rudely and abruptly told it was full. It was not as the seating area can been viewed from outside. I asked to wait.I was abruptly told no I could not wait. It was quite obvious at this point I was not welcome for no reason.I used the bathroom on my way out and was ambushed at the door for doing so . I was told for customers only to which I replied I wanted to be a customer but i was told no. Staff extremely rude especially short blonde haired woman at till . unwelcoming I would not recommend to tourists . 0 stars .

Stayed here for one night. Old but well maintained and clean. If you’re into old antique hotel with historical charm and local flavor, then this is for you. Super sweet lady owner and friendly staff. Great view. Right next to the ferry. 5-10 minutes walk to the main town. Be ware of loud noise from the ferry every time it comes and goes. We woke up late for breakfast (walked in at 5 minutes to close down) but we managed to grab some croissants. They tasted fresh and good!

Best hotel to pick if you are staying in Lake Como area. Great location right in front of the ferry station which makes it easier to buy ferry tickets or explore beautiful Varenna earlier in the day before crowds come in. We stayed in a Dependance room and it was amazing. Plenty of space and a huge balcony with a view of the lake. You don't hear the sound of the ferries there and the AC was working great. Staff was super friendly and helpful which made our stay even better. I would definitely choose Olivedo again if I'm visiting Lake Como.

We stayed at Hotel Olivedo for four nights from the 19-23 June, and couldn't have chosen a better hotel. The manager and staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, for example, lending us an umbrella on a rainy day! The room and especially the view (lake-view) were perfect, and the location of the hotel could not have been better for both access to Varenna and to the ferries. We couldn't recommend the breakfast options enough, there was a wide selection and the staff were happy to provide freshly cooked dishes and excellent coffee. The only point to improve that we can think of was the internet, which worked but was pretty slow. 5/5 but would give a 6 if we could!

We are home after a recent stay here. A wonderful location right on the pier head, but don't let that put you off as you don't hear anything from the ferries once the windows are closed and they don't sound for the ferries early or late on and the view from our room was outstanding!
The owner is so friendly and made us feel so welcome from the minute we walked in and every day of our stay. We loved the updated daily bottled water and glasses in the room ready for cold glass at the end of the day 🥰
We would not hesitate to go back.
