A lovely hotel in a convenient location with just an 8 minute walk to the train station. It’s just about 15-20 mins on foot to Trevi fountain, the Colloseum and the Pantheon. It’s also an hour’s walk from Vatican City and I chose to walk so I could take in all the sites. The hotel was a bit dated, but comfortable and the breakfast was just lovely with lots of options. The only reason I gave the hotel an average rating was because there were ants in my room. I noticed an ant trail in the bathroom on the first morning but didn’t think too much of it, as I couldn’t find where the trail lead to.
On departure day however, I found my personal food items that had been in sealed ziplock bags inside my zipped up luggage had been infested with ants.
These buildings are quite old and so I just informed the front desk to give that room a thorough cleaning.
But apart from that, it was a great stay and I may just stay again sans my health snacks!

It’s not what i expected being a 4 star hotel. The room was small and the ambience is kind of depressing. The mattress was so uncomfortable that my back hurts waking up in the morning. The only person who greeted me to say “good morning” was a cleaning lady. Not a single person in the concierge greeted me. They just looked at you as if i am being gauged. Overall, I’ll give it a 3 stars just because the location was convenient.

It’s an average hotel, and for the price it’s not bad. But two main things to know if you’re booking this place:
1. It’s an older hotel. So just know you’re not staying in a very modern hotel. And the shower is incredibly small and tiny. Our showerhead also did not work very well, on some occasions spraying water in weird directions or not having enough water pressure, and the water temperature would fluctuate as well.
2. The location is not in the center of most of Rome’s main attractions. It is close to the train station, so if you’re coming from there that’s great. But it’s further from some of the more popular restaurant and shopping districts, as well as Romes big touristy spots.

Their breakfast and walkable distance from most of attractions in Rome were good. I booked the basic room and was shocked after found out how small it was. There is no space to walk after you put your carrier. I had to pay the extra to upgrade my room. I can hear all sounds from next room which bother a lot. I had great expectation of this hotel because lots of good review and pretty high price but turned out it was not worth of money.

My family stayed here for six nights (enough to experience any problems). But we were really impressed with this hotel. Our room was a triple (#337) and it was a lot bigger than I expected, especially for a European hotel. The bathroom was enormous, modern and clean. Staff was lovely. The complimentary breakfast was really good - pastries, meats, cheeses, eggs, bacon, yoghurts, granola…
We were there during a busy time in Rome (Dec 27-Jan 2) so it was nice to be out of the main tourist areas where it was jammed packed. But if you’re a walker you likely won’t mind the location. If you prefer to take transit, there is a Metro station really close by.
We did laundry at a self-serve laundromat that was about 100 meters away (it was expensive - 24 euros to wash and dry one large load), but we were glad it was there.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Although it was quite expensive, the breakfast was good only for the start of our 20 day stay. The menu never changed, scrambled eggs were the only option. The coffee was not at Rome levels at all. It became work to attend breakfast each day.
The front desk was business only. The cleaning staff were very good. The beds were way past their best before date and the classic rooms and interiors were showing wear and tear needing an update.
Great location but the breakfast was a real letdown. Got to have great coffee to be in the running for 4 star hotel. ...and it was awful.
Sadly, a 3 out of 5 overall.
