Loved this hotel. Very good service and comfortable rooms-guest receptionist was very obliging and could speak English well. Also there was free coffee and tea at the lounge which included a microwave and oven. Besides that, there were coin laundry washer and dryer. Location was good, near to park, lake and shops. The only negative comment would be insufficient place to hang clothes and towels in the room.

Very nice hotel which is under the fairfield brand by marriott bonvoy. Free parking available at the front of the hotel entrance and in case those spaces are taken there is a free 24 hours parking directly opposite. No restaurant at this outlet but a kiosk available offering snacks, drinks, ramen and frozen food. No cash accepted though at the hotel to pay for anything including the rooms. Coffee machine available offering free beverages. A laundry room is also located on the ground floor. Download the app and pay via there. The washer dispenses the laundry detergent automatically. The common areas feel very zen like and are decorated in a minimalist, japanese style. The same theme continues in the rooms which are stylishly appointed with everything that you may need during a stay. Bed and pillows are super comfy. There are a couple of restaurants available nearby. Convenience store around 10 mins drive away. Petrol station app 5 mins away. Shirakawa-go is around 40 mins away. All in all a very good stay which definitely presents value for money.

There’s no convenience store nearby, which is a bit inconvenient, and the choices of restaurants in the area are very limited. I was here on a rainy day, and there was no parking spot available in front of the hotel, so I had to park at the 道の駅, which was really inconvenient in the rain. Overall, not a great experience due to the lack of nearby amenities. The hotel itself is a standard Fairfield and brand new. The staff are helpful and friendly.

This hotel is an oddity in Japan. Located in the small village, with its back to the rice fields. They list the location as Takayama, but that's about 40 min drive. Rental car is a must, but once you have it, the hotel is outstanding. New, clean, quiet facility, with largest rooms of any hotels we stayed in Japan. Great service, making sure to help you find food around, which is a challenge. Everything closes very early in rural Japan, so you better have your dinner lined up before 5! There is no restaurant at the hotel, but we ate at Kisami, a small local joint located in a house less than 10 min walk away. At night look for a flashing yellow light, in this part of Japan it indicates that the establishment is open. Great local food, very accomodating owners. Be there when they open at 5pm! We went to several great hikes in the area so the location really worked for us.

Very nice and pretty posh hotel in the middle of otherwise quite rural part of JAPAN. Near quite a few ski fields. Room is very well appointed, modern and clean. Cheap onsen next door(700 yen only) and nice sushi place also nearby, walking distance. Beddings are top notch, most comfortable bed and pillows I've slept on.
