This hotel is a wonderful stop in Fukuoka. Located in a great part of town, just away from the bustle of Tenjinand Hakata City!
Room was clean and comfortable. I hear the restaurant on the first floor is top-notch.
The lay out of the hotel allows us to bypass the reception counter entirely. This gives you privacy to simply head up to the room after a long day out.

Convenient location right next to Akasaka station, close to Tenjin shopping area. Taxi can stop right in front of hotel as well. Rooms are larger than average Japanese hotels. Lots of dining options in the area. 7-11, 24 hour supermarket, drugstore just around the corner.

Good basic hotel with attentive, polite and helpful staff. The buffet breakfast has limited choices and the rooms are small. The laundry is convenient if you have been travelling for a while but I did not see any warm water option for winter clothes.
If you’re not looking for luxury, this is the hotel for you.

This is the second time we stayed here and a little disappointed with the friendliness of the staff. When requesting things for rooms we felt the front desk got irritated. Breakfast buffet wasn't that good as previous stays and only ate the last 2 days of our stay because we bought it with the reservation. Hotel room is cramped for 2 people and had to put suitcase on bed to get things in and out. The best thing is this room has a shower and tub and laundry facility.

1) Airport subway line to Akasaka exit 3 & walk less than 30 sec arrive hotel (very convenient).
2) supermarket & Starbucks just cross to road &7-11 walk one block.
3) 10mins walk or subway one stop to Tenjin for shopping.

슈페리어 트윈룸(엑스트라 베드)로 3인이 숙박하였습니다. 객실 안에 캡슐커피가 있고 맛도 좋았습니다. 어메니티들은 훌륭했으며 욕조가 커서 덩치 큰 저도 다 들어갔습니다. 다만 방은 생각보다 좁았으며 (비즈니스 책상에 의자를 꺼내지 못할정도였습니다.) 청소가 제대로 안되었습니다. 숙박 하루차에 침대 아래 바닥에 전 숙박객의 것으로 추정되는 약과 먹은 흔적이 보이는 스낵이 있었고 다음날에 룸 청소가 이루어졌는데 여전히 그대로 있더군요. 일부러 보이게끔 침대 간격을 넓혔는데도 아예 침대 아래는 청소할 생각이 없었던듯 그대로 남아있어서 불쾌했습니다. 모든게 다 좋았는데 바닥 청소가 아예 안이루어진다는걸 안 이후부터는 바닥의 불결함만 남았으며 최대한 바닥에 맨발을 딛지 않으려고했습니다. 5점 만점에서 오로지 청결문제로 2점을 뺀 3점 드립니다.

I was disappointed that I was not allowed to check in early (my colleague and I reached the hotel around 11.30am). A little generosity would have left a better impression on us, especially considering that many rooms would have been free at the time we came to the hotel as a lot of guests check out early. Besides, I checked out at 5am the next day, so no appreciation was shown for my not using the full benefit of the hotel facilities. A really good hotel chain always allows early check-in if rooms are available as this generates goodwill among guests.

The staff speaks basic English, the rooms are clean and there's daily housekeeping if you request for it. The only drawback was theres hardly and trash bin in the hotel except in the rooms. There's a little convenient storencorner which only accepts cashless paynentm however, theres no bins around to dospose off the instant noodles that's sold there. That is really inconvenient. Otherwise, the stay is satisfactory. As the location is near to malls and subway station

One simply cannot beat this location. It is still centrally located but is not situated right in the middle of the action. From Hotel JAL, we were able to walk to Tenjin, Daimyo and OhoriPark. We highly recommend this hotel!
