My family (3 of us) really had a nice time here. The service and staff were great - very friendly and accommodating - for a small boutique ryokan. There is a little language concern, but never had a problem communicating. The meals were also awesome, and the “onsen” was very clean. I would for sure stay here again. But only concern was the 10am check out. Little early, wish it was 11am. But, either way, it was really nice to have a private 'onsen'. Again, the food for dinner and breakfast was outstanding. Private room to dine with your family.

I have lived overseas more than 30 years plus.For the past few years I have not been able to return Japan due to the Corona disaster.I returned to Japan after a long absence and stayed at The Ryokan, where the atmosphere and service,food were excellent.Someone said it was old, but it was tasteful.I stayed with my family this time and everyone was happy!I would like to stay here again when I come to Oita.

The staff was extremely friendly - for instance, when we said the room was cold, they promply gave us an electric heater. The food is also divine, and we were extremely content. The onsen, or hot spring baths in each room was also very comfortable. The only small vice was that one can only shower outside, and it being snowy outside, was very cold. Otherwise I don't have any complaints.

Meal was just perfect! Private onsen in each room. Staffs were so kind! Wanna stay more longer next time.
