One of the best Onsen hotels you can visit in Miyagi prefecture, or even Japan as a whole. It is less in the traditional style, however the facility itself and its location are beyond superb. A wide variety of different baths, both general baths and private baths, inside and outside. The view is especially stunning from the outside private baths. The food is amazing, and not to forget: unlimited drinks (and yes including alcohol). It’s great value in both quality and quantity. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature on top of the impressive mountain called Zao. The staff is also super professional and the additional facilities are fun too. There is a ping pong table and a darts room. Unfortunately the karaoke rooms where closed this time. There is also an additional paid option for a massage/spa. On a final note, the room is splendid too. But you don’t really need to spend a lot of time in your room with all the great experiences waiting for you. If I would describe it in one word in Japanese: 素晴らしい (wonderful, splendid)

Last November after visiting Okuma crater we decided to stay a night at Yutomori Club. The hotel is located in a secluded area, far away from the hustle bustle of a city. This is a place you come to unwind, relax, and recharge while enjoying the calm surroundings, the rotenburos , the all inclusive drinks and the delicious meals. I was told children were not to be included in a reservation. I consider Yutomori club as a luxury hotel, quite pricey and rather difficult to get to as the hotel provides no shuttle service. We had a pleasant time here, and won't hesitate to recommend it.

From the very beginning, I had high expectations for Yutomori Club, based on previous guest reviews and photos. But still, Yutomori Club had delivered above & beyond my expectations. This is no longer just a hotel room, it's about experiencing the best of Japan's hospitality & culture in a modern setting. The hotel is not the easiest to get to for non-locals & communication may not be the smoothest but if you put in the effort, you will be rewarded with a delightful treat. The rooms are luxuriously furnished (think Muji BUT BETTER) & the facilities are top notch. You will not want to leave the hotel grounds and just immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility of the surrounding forest + mountains. Food is meticulously prepared & delicious, where you will go back to the chefs for more. And special mention to their amazing hotel staff (especially Watanabe-san), who went the extra mile to contact the local JR station to enquire about my missing scarf, which I had carelessly left on the Shinkansen. Despite the language barrier, he did not dismiss my request for help & even called multiple parties (for more than an hour) to locate my scarf. This is the pinnacle of Japan's dedication & passion to providing excellent customer service. Overall, Yutomori Club is a hidden gem in Miyagi & it definitely deserves more recognition for its amazing service & hotel experiences. PS: Thank you so much Watanabe-san, you had made my stay at Yutomori Club even more memorable & I cannot wait to stay at the hotel again.
