This was our first time here and we were skeptical to go there after reading the reviews here but to our surprise, we were happy with our two night stay. Bed only reservation. Rooms: We got a new room, the shower was great. and the drier was working. The shower drainage was not good though. The bed was great and cosy. Rating 4 stars Service: Service was great. Paid for bed only so I cannot speak about the dining service. Everything we needed was provided. Rating 4.5 stars Location: The hotel is in a great location and right next to the highway. The only improvement I can recommend is, there's need to put a sign post light. It is impossible to see the hotel entrance at night. Rating 4.5 stars

I did not dine or sleep here. I visited to enquire about their wedding photography services and the possibility of hosting a reception dinner. I got to check out the grounds and venues and they are indeed a nice place to host a wedding. Though we found the fees for photography sessions a bit too steep, the dinner options were affordable. It has that Colonial classic architecture vybe to it, with grand staircases and all.

This place absolutely magnificent. Staff was generally very friendly and rooms were enormously big, cleand and with beautiful views also my balcony was more kind of terrace. One thing I’d suggest is to send e-mail confirmation for every booking with exact price and taxes to be paid this will help avoid double bookings and missunderstanding at the desk an make our stay even more pleasant. Looking forward to come back here in the future.

Very nice hotel building, interiors and well-kept grounds. The pool and gym can also be used by non-hotel guests. Generally few visitors, which leads to a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The service staff are very friendly and the served food tastes good.

I visited Muthu Sovereign Suites over the festivities to celebrate an intimate birthday celebration. We had called earlier to find out more details for planning purposes and we were really excited about the visit. The location was neat and calming, the food absolutely tantalising and staff a total breath of fresh air. I had a good time until I met the manager of the day, this experience left a foul taste in our mouths. The manager dashed to our table and started demanding for a corkage fee. It was not clear to us what was going on because he was causing a scene- banging the table, shouting, pointing. This was a spectacle not expected by customers. Later on we learnt that a fee us charged when visitors bring edibles from outside. We went on to explain that this was neither communicated to us when we called, nor when we came in with the cake which we infact placed on storage. What surprised us even more was the fact that he went ahead to threaten that if we do not pay, the staff on duty will be held liable. We did not pay for reasons cited above. Though we hope that the staff was not manhandled as we were. I do not know whether he was having a bad day but this is no was to treat customers.
