La Résidence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang is an amazing place to dine, offering a peaceful and elegant atmosphere. Set in beautiful grounds in a former royal residence with a stunning poolside view of Luang Prabang, this is a truly special place to stay. The staff are extraordinarily welcoming and thoughtful, and food is absolutely exceptional. It's also very easy to get into town on foot or using the hotel shuttle. Absolutely worth the splurge!

My stay here was fantastic. The comfort and service were the best experiences. They are thoughtful and lovely staff. If you are looking for some serenity, this is a great place to unwind. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions but they have shuttle vans that can take you conveniently and back. I had a 2 hour massage, the oil massage was fantastic. My son swam in the spa pool, the infinity view of the country side was so serene. Food is fantastic, the breakfast arrangements were neatly small but yet the variety was there to entertain many days of stays. A good mix of local dishes to discover too! We had the xmas dinner set, lots of fusion and interesting textures/ flavours. The portions were too huge for us. By the time it was dessert, we were so full. The evening started with kids taking photos with santa, fireplace drinks, christmas carols...all very cute. Our tables were set up by the pool. Highly recommend

Exceptional to the max ! The property sets away from the hustle and bustle but yet offer the convenient to go out and about . Culinary experiences is precious and define . We never expect a real local flavor when dine in the hotel . Our best highlight was the sunset cruise which filled with elegant warm services … left us with the most Magical memory of Mekong river and the love of Loas and the people .
