Important Note
As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.

General Check-in Instructions
Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya is now a Smoke-free Zone. All room is strictly non-smoking. Hotel reserves right for further action if guests were unable to follow non-smoking policy. Effective from June 1, 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4 and 5-star hotels, and MYR 2 per room per night for 0 to 3-star hotels. The star rating will be in accordance to the rating from Local Council and should the rating differ from the website, the local council rating will apply. This fee is payable directly to the hotel upon check-in and is not included in the room rate and taxes stated herein. Effective 1 September 2018, rates are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) subject to 6% service tax, the Local Government Fee of MYR3 per room per night for a 4-star hotel and 10% service charge. Additionally, the MYR10 Tourism Tax (TTx) will be imposed on all hotel room rates on a per room per night basis to all non-Malaysian guests.

first time check in here. The staff is not friendly when checking in. told to self check in but confused told to do it quickly. when it's wrong to make a tight face. not even a smile. 2 staff during check out are very cheap, smiling and very helpful. but sorry because of that tight face. 1st and last check in here.

Stay 1 night here, it's near to sunway carnival mall and train station. Room is spacious and comfortable, I have a good rest here. Towel got a bit yellow stain and pillow case got black stain. E-hailing service / Grab is available during early morning and midnight. 24 hours reception. Quick process for check in and out.

The stay was great. The guards- they were kind and helpful. Front desk counter- the gentlemen I met made it seamless for my check-in. The attendant - guided me for the self check machine and it was done in 5min. The room - very comfortable and kids enjoyrd it. Cafe - breakfast was good and simple. But was slightly dissapointed fhat kids below 8 years don't eat free. Overall had a great stay.

Although the hotel outlook like a bit old but inside the facilities still is complete and clean. So stay and sleep is comfortable. The staffs are friendly and able fulfill customer requirements. May request breakfast more varieties option.

The hotel located near to all amenities which make it a convenient. The room was exquisite however there is minor hiccup with the piping in the bathroom. The sink clogged out on occasion and was not able to be sorted out by the maintenance team during the stay. Despite all that, the stay was lovely and enjoyed the time at the hotel.

The room is comfy, spacious & super clean. It was a late check-in nearly 12 am & a staff named Bazli served us at his best. Thank you. We got the roof parking as well (thank you for the previous review that made me chose this hotel). During check-out also very smooth & we have been served so well. This hotel also with walking distance to the attractions like Pasar Pagi, Medan Selera (if you love local food you can find it here), Sunway Carnival Mall & many more. Surely will choose this hotel again when I come to Seberang Jaya.
