Great location by the lake. Not too far from the airport and very little traffic and wide roads. Most American could drive to and around here with extra caution.
Very comfortable bed and room, however queen bed size seemed slightly narrower than American queen sized.
If you don't speak Spanish, you can use Google Translate. Most of the staff don't speak English, but they are very kind.
Lots of mosquitoes in the area, but they don't seem to bite.
Food isn't very fancy, but really good. The grilled octopus was my favorite in the hotel menu. In the town, deep fried tiny fishes were delicious. Must try!

Rooms are old but the hotel is right on the lake with fantastic views. The food at the restaurant is not great, but it is an easy walk into downtown Ajijic or over to San Antonio. The pool is a nice place to cool off since our room didn't have AC.

We stayed for one nights and enjoyed the setting. The views are great and the customer service was great. We enjoyed playing pool and relaxing by the lake. The neighborhood is walkable and we felt safe at night waking to town.

No A/C, rooms full of mosquitoes and other bugs due to old screens, beds with plastic protective covers (which makes it even hotter), safe doesn't work, no minibar to store cold drinks, still use regular keys for your room and you only get one. Staff will try to help with what they have but there isn't much they can do.
