Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam Zuidas

Our family room, 2 adults 2 kids, was exactly as shown on the website. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The bath tub was massive and the coffee machine and switch controlled curtains were pleasant features. We didnt have breakfast as it was just over €20 per adult. Hotel is right next to the RAI train and metro station which made getting in and out of the city centre very quick and easy. We also got the sprinter shuttle to and from the airport, took about 20mins. Overall very happy with our stay and would return.

My stay was pleasant.

Shower head not original so leaks and doesnt fir properly so fall down when in use. Fridge in room not working, items inside still at room temperature. Informed reception but nothing done about it! Towels very small and thin not really adequate! Also asked for extra coffee, conditioner etc brought wrong stuff. Asked for late check out - this was an ordeal to sort! Wouldn't return to this particular hotel!

Close to the Rai

I really loved the view but unfortunately the cleanliness was not the greatest. We had to keep calling the hotel to clean the room.

Second time staying here. The customer service is great! The room was really clean and this time we enjoyed the spa! Definitely will be back again.

Bedrrom was good - Style and condition. Staff were pleasant, but not friendly. Could have been more helpful in tracing a package that was delivered (according to the parcel company) but not able to be found.

Upgraded room to find that mine was not as good as a colleagues who had no upgraded. Stay every year this year not as good as in the past. Curtain not working, no drench head in shower. Toilet not cleaned daily

The hotel is nice and the price is good. But the staff in the hotel is really unfriendly and rude. Even for dinning in the room they say I will call you back and never call you back. They need to focus more in making feel the client good. For now I prefer to stay somewhere else.

This was such a stunning hotel to visit and a great experience using the suite room and bath over looking the view. However I'm not one to complain but considering the price I think the cleanliness of the room wasn't great, mirrors were dirty, old finger prints on doors/handles, mouldy sink plug, badly cleaned shower leaving soap scum in-between tiles etc. My reason for rating the staff 2 stars is purely because I visited this hotel for my 21st birthday (as a treat), as you can imagine this is a high class hotel which attracts high class people. Being somebody who isn't exactly high class and someone who came for the experience, I felt very unwelcome and very looked down upon, for this reason use of the sauna/ spa area wasn't used and we spent most of our time in the city:( we would have liked to make the most of our booking which is unfortunate. Our check in time was 2pm and we were made to wait in the bar until 5pm for our room to be ready. I wouldn't have cared if our room was cleaned properly but it wasn't. It had been a long day as our flight out was at 6am that morning. Majority of staff were rude, arrogant and not interested in helping what so ever! There was also no map of the hotel and there is 15 floors so trying to find your way around with no help was also a task! On a good note, This hotel is a well designed and modern place to stay. Located 20 minutes on the train from the city which was no harm for us! Just wish the cleanliness and service was better!

Excellent location for the RAI conference centre with easy access to the centre of the city and Schipol airport. Great breakfasts and a very comfortable room.

The room was great!

The room was not cleaned properly upon arrival, prevous guest food was in the fridge (a container with wasabi). And the prior guest key cardboard card envelope with the room number.

Everything was perfect, friendly staffs, room looks clean and comfortable.

Amazing hotel just a quick metro ride to the center. The rooms and the view were amazing and the restaurant is an experience.
