"Commonly known as the Tacloban City Airport, the Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport is the main gateway from Manila and Cebu to the Eastern Visayas Region. It is the eighth busiest airport in the Philippines, with over 1.5M passenger movements (as of 2017). It was once the San Jose Airstrip, which was converted into a commercial airport after World War II. Hotel Estrella
Definitely my choice of hotel the next time I spend another staycation in Tacloban. No mosquitos and unidentified flying insects inside my room as compared to my first choice of hotel through traveloka. Complete with bath towels, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, slippers, coffee, bottled water, cable TV, wifi, buffet breakfast, very accommodating receptionist. Very well informed! Kudos to the lady receptionist! Very patient answering all my queries since it was my first time in Tacloban. The hotel location is very near the Sto. Nino church, just a walking distance also to Mcdonalds Real branch. Robinsons Marasbaras branch is a ride away through multicab with signage Robinsons. No taxis in Tacloban, options are just tricycle, jeepneys/multicabs/small buses. The hotel also allowed me to extend an hour more free of charge. Beyond that the hotel will charge guest Php500 for a day's extension. Just a suggestion is to add danggit to their buffet choices of food because it is a province so native delicacies such as danggit is a very nice inclusion. Thank you so much for the accommodation.
