Long-staying guests, Filipinos and Africans, do not observe the silence in the rooms, constantly - the radio and light, everywhere are clothes and luggage.

This is actually my favorite hostel in Metro Manila and this is my longest stay yet. Hostel size is just right and has a perfect location. One jeepney-ride to MRT, Ayala Avenue, and Rockwell. I only had issues with a difficult roommate. He is irritable, he doesn't want anybody making sound even at day-time. He even told me to use the toilet to brush my teeth even though we have sink in the room for that purpose. Anyway, I have later in learned that he us a light sleeper. Not a valid excuse though to get in fights with roommates at a hostel where you get to encounter different types of personalities. I suggest that the management make a way to sort guests in same rooms. Like though who would typically sleep at day-time, or those who like being quiet, those who would want to make friends, and those who are extremely orderly with stuff. Maybe a short questionnaire in order to make experience in the hostel better and more personal.

First, We expected for a queen size bed as detailed here when I booked but in reality, it's a double decker. We tried to negotiate it in the front desk but they said no queen size transmitted, only twin type and that's double decker means to them. In this, may I suggest that simple description of facilities should be made so as not to deceive the customer of what they will expect. Second, it's not a PWD/senior citizen friendly. The stairs to lobby are steep, no ramp obviously and no elevators, although a friendly staff will carry your luggage but not all the time. I'm wondering why the City of Makati just could not check of this, they are mandated to see to it that all buildings are PWD friendly, just a thought anyway 😊. Third, shared bathroom is not enough to cater 8 people.Maybe, they have to add bathroom, a cubicle would do, or a separate bowl cubicle and shower. Well, someone could make a pee even if someone is taking a bath 😊.Practical enough. Last, expect that other tenants will stay in the hallway going to your private room. Hence, though you have your privacy in your private room but still when you go out for bathroom, still not feeling safe because there are tenants outside your room.Gosh, the noise could not be minimized even in the middle of the night, very noisy. 😔. In sum, we did not have good night sleep here, very unsatisfying. But on the positive note, they have a friendly and approachable staff.

Actually the room was good as described, but the room was connecting with another room, the other person was in and out of our room, the room was rarely connected because anyone could enter, it was the first time experiencing this, but safe ... Just uncomfortable .

I liked it mostly for its staff. They were friendly, helpful, and responsive. The place itself wasn't that new anymore but I hope the management realizes it has a lot of potential with the proper maintenance, improvement of their facilities, including the common areas and the cafe. The place actually has the makings of a good hostel, they just need to work on making it cleaner, more functional, and more memorable for travelers.

Location: great as it is near offices and restaurants; Staff: Polite and nice; Room: bed is big, room is cold, there’s a sofa and bean bag. Bathroom: they have hot shower and towels. Needs improvement: sink looks like it is old. Floor may look clean - no dust but has stains maybe needs mopping. Bean bag not sure if it has been cleaned. But all in all good place to stay for the night.

Staffs are kind, bed was comfortable, free water dispenser is availablr, but I felt disappointed because I've requested for a lower bed but still they gave me an upper bed since no lower bed is available. There are some small cockroaches in some bathroom. The aircon was leaking in my room (25). For improvement, some bed curtains will be much appreciated.

I had the most awesome stay here minus their customer service. I booked for 3 nights but I only stayed on the 3rd night. The lady at the front desk was telling me that my booking was canceled. I was upset because I already paid for 3 nights and she was telling me that it was canceled because I didn't stay on the first night. It shouldn't be an option for them to cancel it if I didn't arrived on the first night so I told her my point and she said she will check the room availability. I'm just lucky that the room I booked is still available and no other guests are in the same room that I booked. I find the place nice. Feels like a college dormitory where you can meet other travelers.

Had a comfortable stay. It's in the heart of the city, near 7/11, secured place, walking distance to malls, and the bathroom is clean. Wifi is fast and AC is good. Staffs are attentive and friendly. Though you shouldn't expect it to be as perfect as you could see from the advertising photos because it really depends on you roommates if their clean or messy. The first day I came to the hostel and entered the room I cud definitely tell that there's a funny smell I don't know what maybe because of the other boarders stuck up clothes hanging inside the room. The air is compressed because windows are always locked for AC purposes so smells inside the room are trapped, after a while you'll be used to it anyways. Expect a lot of foreigners too. I stayed for 4 nights and 2 of my roommates are Chinese other 1 is an American. I don't know. Enjoy.

It was disgusting and scary! Don't ever book here! You won't have peace of mind in this hostel!!! When I was unpacking and settling in the middle of the room(I booked for 7 nights), the guy from my bottom bunk bed kept looking at me. When I arrived in the room from the outside shower, the guy said "aaaah!". When it was time to sleep early in the morning, the guy turned off the lights and my bed started shaking while I heard him making sounds (ahh, ahh, uhh,... ). When I finally mustered the courage to go down my bed and complain to the receptionist, I was told to pay to be moved to another room! I didn't go back to the room until it was almost 7am so I could prepare to go to a whole day appointment. When I came back in the room at 5pm, the guy is still there in his bed. So, I went to the lobby and waited for a while until I realized that if I don't feel safe to sleep at 5pm, I won't feel any safer later in the evening! I asked for a refund but they said that since I booked via online, any complaints I have should be communicated to agent! The management don't care at all! No wonder I witnessed another guy complaining and shouting about a terrible experience he had the day before! I transferred to a much better hostel which I know would have done something if something like that happened in their establishment. I may have wasted my money which was supposed to cover for 5 more nights but I'd rather be safe than wait for the worst to happen!

The Makati Junction Hostel was and is a great place to stay within Poblacion if you're looking for a budget hostel that is worth every cent you're paying. The location is far enough from the night scene so it's quiet enough to sleep in at the same time a lot of Asian restos are near so you have plenty of options to get a late night dinner if you're feeling lazy. Small sari sari stores and karinderias are also there if you don't want to spend all that much. By the time we got to the place, we were quickly assisted by the staff to check in, especially the manager who was really nice and sweet to talk to. She was definitely hands-on with handling the place and the guests. I just showed them my reservation from app and we filled in the forms right away. All of them are very accommodating and easy to talk to that I already felt loved within the first 15 minutes. The lobby was so cool because it was filled with books, board games and food/drinks are also sold there which was really convenient. They have a TV room where all the guests can hang out and watch netflix during movie night, bean bags and sofas provided. There is a 'grass area' and a pool table there, too. They also have a water station, a microwave oven, plates, mugs and utensils provided so you can eat your take outs as well! We literally have so little time to make use of all the amenities for a night's stay. We stayed at a Superior King room at the second floor and were kindly assisted by one of the staffs with a tour around the place. It wasn't "sparkling" because it wasn't a brand new kind of room but it was really, really clean. The lavatory and the T&B had soap and shampoos provided and a hot shower. Bean bag, books and a whole lot of outlets were provided so the whole place was more than enough to keep our gadgets usable (did I mention the wifi was faster than we expected?) Would I recommend the place? Absolutely. It's a great place to stay in and go out from during the night without being exposed to too much street noise and bypassers. It's near I'M Hotel where you can get a quick stop at their roofdeck bar 'Antidote' and also The Pallet where I think ever single young adult is staying at getting a great time (highly recommended places as well). I write this after checking out and I really felt sad to leave. Will absolutely, definitely, no doubt go back to this place.
