Staff were very accommodating and welcoming. What I love was it was close to the main highway but had problem finding the sign due to poor lighting and direction. We were checked in late so we’re having difficulty looking for the sign. Thank goodness for google map. All and all it was a nice area for a place to rest if you’re travelling far more to the north. It will be another added list for us now we know where the area. Maybe we will try the Beach area next. 😊

The restaurant on site has fantastic food! The Staff are ALL very friendly, accommodating, and professional. The swimming pools are very big and very clean. This is a great place to stay.

Marand Resort and Spa is a three-star resort located along the National Highway in Bauang, La Union. Featuring a water park, three full-sized swimming pools, and its own in-house restaurant, the resort has everything needed to keep guests entertained throughout their stay.
Checked-in guests can choose between the resort’s 27 rooms, which are divided into eight different types: the Standard Room, the Standard King, the Standard Family Room, the Deluxe King Room, the Deluxe Queen Twin Sharing Room, the Deluxe Family Room, the Dormitory Room, and the Villa Room. All private rooms come standard with an air conditioning unit, a flat-screen television with cable channels, a safety deposit box, a personal refrigerator, and a work desk. The en suite bathroom comes with a hot and cold shower and a complete set of toiletries. Some of the larger rooms come with a separate living and dining area as well as a kitchenette, while the dormitories come with bunk beds and can fit up to a maximum of 18 guests. Select rooms feature a private balcony with pool views. WiFi is available in all rooms and is free of charge.
The Alonzo Bar and Restaurant serves a variety of Filipino dishes from 7am to 9pm daily. As an option, guests can also try out the nearby restaurants. Popular choices include Rose Bowl Steakhouse and Restaurant, Denisia’s Grill, and Patio Del Sol Seafood Restaurant.
The property also has a coffee shop, gardens, a children’s playground and an in-house convenience store.
The resort is 10 minutes away from the Bauang town center. Metro Manila is approximately four hours away by car.

Awesome! I even won in the raffle 😊. The bonus thing is we also had a complimentary passage to Marand Beach Resort where we spent sunset at the beach.

Overall, our stay was nice. We booked it on promotion. They have multiple swimming pools for both adults and kids but sadly I was not able to try them as I'm on Business Trip. The room is neat as well. The Receptionist was super friendly. Our room comes with Breakfast too! Thank you, Marand!

During our 3-day stay in Marand, we sadly had encountered 2 main concerns during our stay as on the 2nd day. A construction were on-going that started early in the morning. Loud bangs can be heard in our walls making us unable to take a rest and enjoy a stress-free stay. Although I could say that the staffs' our really friendly and accommodating and even transferred us to another room but in spite of that, again, we encountered our 2nd problem at night. We were unable to sleep properly most especially my mother who is a senior citizen who have not slept the whole night because of many bedbugs (surot) bites. We even managed to kill 2 who are at least at the size of a grain (long grain to be exact). This is actually the worst vacation we had thinking that I have a 3 year old child with me and a senior citizen. The resort should learn to properly exercise cleanliness including doing scheduled fumigation from time to time.

Don't book here if you want the beach and a general good experience. If you expect to relax by the beach or pool and eat good food, I don't recommend this resort. They claim to have wifi in every room, the restaurant was under repair and closed, the room had barely anything in it that was remotely helping to the relaxing experience, the showers has no heater (in the villa at least) and the bathroom had a pungent smell even after the cleaning staff tidied up our place. The pool's water was not remotely like the pictures they promote, and it's not by the beach side. There wasn't a spa, the ktv bar closed too early. Pick somewhere else. Our stay wasn't fun nor enjoyable

The front desk was very helpful. On the other hand, the booked room was not the one we expected. The picture that was shown on the web was not the one given to us. According to the staff, it was a room for their other hotel. Therefore, they presented room wrongly. Bed sheets are not presentable. They were supposed to be white but the were yellowish and have stains.

Air-con was not working. We reported it and housekeeping tried fixing it but to no avail. They provided electric-fan instead. Without that, the room would have been too hot and uncomfortable.

The room was spacious for my family and its amenities are good. The breakfast was good for my family. The swimming pools were pleasant to swim with my children. However there is no access to the sea.

I booked on Dec 24 with payment via 7/11 for Dec 26-28 but when it came to that day they said they did not have any money in their account. They said that if we had cash we would have to pay kmi but i was disappointing so we moved to other people after my claim to the 7/11 when we returned to Baguio. we went back to Baguio I went straight to 7/11 where I paid and they said they were successful and then I took it again marandresort, so please do not answer they still do not have to enter their account so now i want to bring my money back because it's worthless I've been praying for my children to go outside.

Beach was so far away from the main building and if you want to go the beach area, you have to pay for another entrance fee (not making sense since we already have rooms). Pool was slimmy and didn't notice any maintenance over the night, slide was no slipper enough. Had rashes due to the pool water. Breakfast was buffet as claimed but when you are to go back, you have to pay another P125.00. Ham was even sour when served. Rooms had a weird stingky bathroom smell. Aircon was weak. Guard wore slippers and just shirt. Staff does not have a sense of courtesy to guests. Not recommending for visit.
