I stayed in Portimao Studio 17 appartment for 3 nights in january 2025 and had a great time!
Youve got a small kitchen with glasses, cutlery and pots and pans (i didnt use the baking pan because the bottom was heavily scratched), a nice bathroom, a huge balcony and 2 nice rooms. I slept right above the swimming pool which made a gorgling sound the whole night haha but besides that great value for your money.
Supermarket Continente with different shops is located just 5 minutes away. Praia da Rocha beach is just a 20 minutes walk.
There is indeed a small gypsy camp near the complex but who cares, they didn't bother me at all.
Friendly staff at the reception also!
I will return here hopefully in the near future.

Fairly spacious room with decent shower and clean sheets on beds where comfort is not the priority. Location not great with what seemed like a gypsy camp outside. Noisy traffic. Pool awful, tiny and old tired beds, didn't see anyone use, hardly surprising. Beds hard pillows lumpy. Had to ask at reception for hair dryer..guy on desk less than helpful..asked for directions and got left to centre and right to beach! Place is huge and not easiest to navigate so my advice is to use uber or bus. Room not cleaned and Towels not changed in 7 days..when asked was told it would cost €15 for towels! No Aircon but industrial size fan provided - I guess you get what you pay for, it's cheap! Most of our time was spent out and about exploring, Alvor stunning beach with nature reserve walks and pretty town. Ferragudo is also pretty with quaint Square for food, church, castle and lovely beach. We took Uber there and water taxi back to Portinmao.

Very clean place, nice friendly staff, always willing to help if you need it. If you are a walker, it's close to supermarkets (like 10mins) and the beach is 20min away. There are gyms nearby, little cafes and restaurants

Room was a bit dated but you pay for what you get was happy overall and would stay again.

The apartment is well presented. Rooms are large and there is lots of cupboard space. We had an issue with the washing machine which was brand new. Lovely quiet location and a short walk to amenities.
