Highly recommended! Beautiful area, cool rooms, and excellent staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, but I must mention our catering staff. Young girls and boys were exceptional good. Very cool place to sleep! They renovated the castle in 2014, if I remember correctly. There is even a pool and wellness center in the castle. The room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed and shower. The breakfast was good! We also ate diner here, which was okay, but next time I might eat elsewhere. I would however love to stay again in this hotel if I had the chance!

We entered the castle and our first impression was Wow! Room was huge and the whole place is amazing. If you’re looking for an amazing place with a lot of interesting features this is a great start. But, the staff should be a lot more enthusiastic, friendly and engaging. The rooms were huge but the details were lacking. A large bathroom with a basic shower and plain tiles didn’t do the building justice. Castle has a lot of interesting features but the staff didn’t seem to realise that these are the things that many guests would find interesting. The wellness suite was amazing but a lot of messing around with towels was a bit frustrating.

Initially, my first visit to Viglas Castle left me uncertain about the venue. However, after staying for a night a few months later, the castle truly began to grow on me. There’s an undeniable magic to this place that unfolds with time. This weekend, we had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a wedding for an Irish group that we worked on for a year. The day went off perfectly, but what truly stood out was the incredible Ms. Feketeová. From the beginning of the planning process, she was an absolute delight to work with, and her calm, composed demeanor made all the difference during the wedding day. Even in the most stressful moments—such as deciding multiple times whether to move the ceremony indoors due to the rain—she remained patient and professional. An unusual and yet magical place in rural Slovakia. My wife and I spent two nights in a spacious and comfortable room. Our room was spotless and nicely appointed. Breakfasts were OK at best, and the dinners were very good. Staying in a castle is special, and this is a place I’d recommend.
