An amazing place for a safari!

An amazing 4 days spent here. Every single member of staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Thankyou to the Reception team for traxking down our lost luggage. Thank you to the Management team who recognised it was a special occasion for us both and the room upgrade was amazing, thank you. Food, Pools, Hospitality, everything was perfect. But, the best was Nevermind and Anzi who guided us on the game drives where we managed to see the Big 5 and more including Hyena on a kill, stealing it from an out numbered Leopard, and a Leopard dining on its earlier kill. They went out of their way to track the animals. A special Thankyou to both Nevermind and Anzi. We will certainly.be back in a couple of years.

This lodge was an amazing stay! They provide 2 safaris, one in the morning and one at night, as well as breakfast/lunch/dinner. The guides are fantastic at finding animals, and were very thoughtful on finding specific animals from the Big 5 that we haven’t seen. I would definitely stay here again!

Kapama met and surpassed all expectations we had for a 5-star game reserve. The staff were ever present to ensure your stay was as you wished, the facilities were clean and easily accessible, and the decor/architecture was outstanding. The highlight for us was the food, which was consistently delicious with a always that was always new and fresh for each meal sitting.

Sometimes, the stars do align. And it is easier to align if the game reserve staff go above and beyond. This game reserve did exactly that. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and decided on a whim to experience a game drive holiday. From the pickup at the airport to dropping off, our stay and experience here went far beyond our expectations. What makes this game reserve stand out is the friendliness and attention to detail each staff have, and they striving to make us feel at home and welcomed. The all inclusive stay has wonderful food and drinks. We stayed four nights and found it perfectly adequate to enjoy the two daily included game drives. We had the perfect guide and tracker, Edwin and Tokollo, whom we clicked well with, and sharing the vehicle with the cute couple David and Aggie too. Every game drive the six of us have together is wonderfully informative, funny and fun. Thank you both, Edwin and Tokollo for making this a perfect trip. Truly memories to last a lifetime.

Incredible few days at Kapama. The game drives were excellent, our guide (Noel) extremely knowledgeable and we were fortunate to see the big 5. Food was delicious and lodges were immaculate. Highly recommend:)

What a beautiful experience this was. I was blown away with the hospitality and service this lodge provided. The staff are incredible and make you feel at home. They go above and beyond. Tintswalo, Erasmus, Faith, Collins and Nicco were a few to mention. The game drives were sensational . This will remain a core memory for years to come. Can’t wait to visit again.

Superb. Service was incredible, facilities were amazing, food and beverages delicious, they vary menu everyday. Spa is nice. And… most importantly, the Safari experience absolutely unforgettable, great ranger and tracker. Would repeat.

If you are going to splurge on a safari, you might as well do it right and visit Kapama. They get to know each guest and pamper you, but the amazing staff also give you time and space to do your thing. Whether you want a romantic retreat, epic family vacation or a friend’s get-away, Kapama is an awesome spot. It is where I’ll take all my visitors who make the long journey to Southern Africa to come see me.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. Words cannot describe how we feel about Kapama River Lodge. This place is unbelievable. I’ve stayed at many 5* hotels, but this lodge is far more superior than any of them. The team are AMAZING, Azaria and Milton, our ranger and tracker were unbelievable and so committed to help us track down what we wanted. Kulani the waiter was an absolute delight. Not a single day did I ever see him not smiling. The housekeeping team would make the rooms up three times a day. For our first night, they even got a hot bubble bath ready for my wife before we got back from dinner. To top it all off, the food is outstanding. I have never tasted food at any hotel, lodge or boutique this good, ever. Over our 4 days we were stuffed. We’ve never been offered so much food before and there’s a LOT of variety. We felt sad to leave as it felt we were leaving our family behind. All in all, if you’re doing a safari, and have any doubt on where to go or stay, choose Kapama. They will do absolutely everything they can to make your stay with them as good as it can get.

Everything here was amazing, the room and facilities were clean with amazing views. The game drives exceeded our expectations with fantastic sightings during every drive and our ranger Never providing us with valuable information.Would definitely recommend.

Great safari lodge

When you have giraffes eating out your back patio it is tough to compare to anything else. Outstanding stay and experience.
