Great hotel and we had the best night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable. Attention to detail goes above and beyond at this hotel. Little extras in the room like mini cosmetics kit, shoe shine kit, sewing kit, dressing gowns and slippers, steamer etc, all lovely extras at no extra cost. Room was nicely decorated and it wasn't a "cheaply" made room. Even the waste paper bin was of good quality and the room safe was a decent size. Room was quite. No noise from the outside and we where at the front of the building. Pool, terrace area, bar and restaurant are lovely areas to sit and chill. The hotel was spotlessly clean and almost all of the staff really made an effort to make sure your stay was a memorable one. The slide in the reception area brought a lot of smiles and giggles. Highly recommend a stay here. We have since been on the Barcelo website to see where else they have hotels.

We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. Having worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years, including in hotels, I expected a much higher standard. 1. Room Assignment – As a couple, we were given a room with two single beds pushed together. While we understand that room assignments depend on availability, a prior notice about this arrangement would have been appreciated. 2. Room Condition – Some decorative elements in our room were damaged (see attached photo). Given that housekeeping serviced the room daily, we would have expected at least some acknowledgment or action to address this. 3. Noise Disturbance – Almost every morning between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, we were disturbed by loud drilling and hammering. We understand that maintenance work is necessary, but such noise early in the morning significantly impacted our ability to relax and enjoy our stay. 4. Restaurant Service – This was by far the most disappointing aspect. The staff was generally unfriendly, and the service was unacceptable for a 4-star establishment. My partner and I ordered a salad and a main course. The salad arrived first, and my dish followed 3–5 minutes later, disrupting our dining experience. Throughout the entire meal, no one checked on us or asked for feedback. Additionally, after a 45-minute wait, our drinks still hadn’t arrived, so I canceled them when paying at the bar. For a hotel of this caliber, such service is simply unacceptable. We hope management takes these concerns seriously to improve the guest experience in the future.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Everything you need in your room. Service was exceptional all staff were very friendly. Ideal hotel for a couples short city break. Will most definitely visit again and would have no problem in recommending this hotel. Thank you to all the staff who made us so welcome.

We were given a room with a door in between ours and another room. It was locked but the other room happened to have really loud guests and the door was absolutely not soundproof like advertised. We could hear their exact words and it did not feel like we paid for a private room at all. The rooftop is made to seem much larger in the photos than in reality. I will admit we came during a very peak period however the pool was very small and there were a lot of children, allowing no room to swim. I tried to make use of the changing rooms and found that there was no lock on the shower door or the changing room door. Also, when I ran the water it came out brown for a while as if it hadn’t been used in a long time. The room design is very nice and the staff are very polite. It is very well located, right above the train station, however it is not right in town where the main tourist sites are (however it doesn’t advertise to be).

Worst service I have had in my life. Ordered room service, waited for many hours, tried calling reception, no response. Visited restaurant, they said they would bring up. Visited again, they said the same again. It’s been over 3h now and I am worried about showering and going to bed in case my food arrives. Not a single apology, not a single person being nice to me through this, just arrogant and rude and clearly had no time for me. Meanwhile I am paying 300 euro for the night. I am so disappointed. I know this is a difficult time with a storm in the city. There is nowhere that is open so nowhere else I can go for food and I am sure staff have been under strain. I would’ve understood delays and problems but I don’t understand being mean and rude
