Never again! Holet boasts 4****, I don't understand!! The breakfast room is small, constantly untidy, there is nowhere to sit, lack of dishes, here I can only praise the waitress Ana, she tried. The room, and that is the most expensive one they offer, without glasses in the room, kettles, etc., the bathroom stank of garbage, they heated it to 26'C, it was terrible, we couldn't sleep at night, when we asked about the regulation at the reception, they answered us - open the window, impossible in busy Barcelona!!! The letter at the reception refused to send us, two sofas at the reception for the entire large hotel to sit on are not enough! The hotel could have a maximum of 3***. Price-performance ratio - terrible!

Booked 3 rooms and 2 rooms air conditioner don't work. It's summer so it's super hot and stuffy air. Can't sleep! They end up put a fan in a room and no fan for another. Day 2, they said they fixed it but obviously its not so 2 nights in a row no air conditioning. Super disappointed for a 4 stars hotel. (That's what they charge and claim on their website) finally they moved us to another 2 rooms after a serious negotiation and get 2 nights refund. One of the morning we had breakfast at their restaurant, it was 9.30am and they said scrambled egg is finished. However, their breakfast time won't finish till 10.30am. A lot of guests are upset about that, so i talked to the hotel manager and requested scrambled egg. After 10min, they serve scrambled egg again and I saw at least 10 more guests come in between 9.30am and 10.30am. How can a 4 star hotel told guests scrambled egg is finished far from breakfast end time?! We have no bath gel in our shower, instead, they put 2 shampoos. Not refill our box tissue. One day one of us not feeling well and rest at hotel, when she felt better and leave the room at 3pm, she told the front desk they can make the room but they said housekeeping already gone home! Interesting! Not sure how they got their 4 stars. I won't recommend anyone to stay there. The only positive part of the hotel is the location, it's close to Plaza Cataluna. Very convenient. But there are a lot of choice in that area value for money.

Terrible experience with the hotel. We got there after a long flight and arrived on a certain date as my visa only allowed me to be in the country from that date. We get to reception and get told that the room was booked for 3 nights prior and we can’t transfer the money to the correct dates. I tried explaining with the staff at reception that it was virtually impossible for me to have booked for dates when I’d still be in South Africa without a valid visa. Felt like a big scam.

The only good thing this place has going on is the excellent location! But not worth the price and not at all a “four star” hotel! It is definitively overpriced for the service! Breakfast was decent for €15 but they are way many great places around with far better and cheaper food… staff was ok not the nicest but not rude, although was surprised they didn’t allow/have a water dispenser to be used to fill a bottle of water… they don’t have a bar and or terrace was very disappointed! They are far nicer hotels for half the price and better quality

The staff at the front desk is very helpful and polite. Service is also very good. But the rooms are cramped and why does the bathroom have a see through door ?? Not all guests are couples.
