Location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the Cathedral, the archaeology museum, the art museum and food restaurants. Service is perfect. To a one, employees are happy to be working there and help guests with everything. Locked spacious bike room with multiple outlets to recharge ebikes, tools and hand pump, so clean you could eat off the floor! Great breakfasts, buffet or Continental at half the price of the buffet. Rooms are well appointed with updated bathrooms tho not perfectly sound proofed

I was never disappointed of a stay in a hotel until this night. We only wanted to sleep and then go back to Barcelona but now, I caught some cold again because of my Asthma. We needed to open the window to let some heat out. The room was 27 degrees in the end, it started with 26 and when we informed the reception about this, ny boyfriend got told that the heater is broken and in no way to get repaired thus they can lend us an electric fan for the night. Like as if it would be of help? My bf can not sleep with windows open, since he needs pure silence to fall asleep and I can not sleep if the bedroom is like a sauna. I tried my best to get over it and maybe it's because we paid just 2/3 of the price since it was an offer but money is money and reservation is still for everybody! How can you even completely sabotage the reputation of your hotel just because two guests only wanted to sleep for one night and yes, they both look like strangers and yes they were tourists, since we just came back from Gijon and believe me, the 4 star we had there for 5 nights was way above the level of Gran Hotel in Oviedo. We also got more nicer reception in at Fittoria than this place. The isolation was near to nothing, I got awaken from my 20 seconds of sleep from running children on the neighboring room at 9. I can not recommend and if you are bound to sleep for a night to an offer of the hotel at booking.com please do give it a second thought, you might end up at the same room, where a sauna might have been the best definition with only difference is the cozy bed in the middle that invites you to sleep but you can not enjoy it since the room is so closed and hot you'd rather sleep on the streets of Oviedo. The receptionists were not accomodating at all, the only nice person we saw was the Valet and I almost felt sorry for him.

There was only a problem. The key never worked. Three times I had to go to reception for this matter, till finally they changed my key. The staff was excellent. The food was very good. The rooms pretty comfortable. The location can't be better. 😊

This is a historic Hotel, close to everything important in the Oviedo City Centre Recomme d walking to the little street where all restaurants are aligned side by side and dothe Sidra Experience at El Pigueña Sidreria at Gascón Restaurant as for Samuel great Waiter and Sidra Pouring artist

Apparently this is one of the most historic hotels in the city. However they did an splendid job in the renovations: modern touches that still make the place look historic and old. The rooms were really clean and spacious. The bar was incredible, very Mad Men. Super conveniently located and despite they don't have parking on the building, they offer free parking one block away, so not a big deal at all. (All pictures taken with Pixel 3 XL)
