We arrived at this beautiful remote retreat after a week of intensive surfing. The location, service and hospitality were amazing. The Wellington suite we stayed in was located in an old barn of the main building. It was lovely. Very tranquil, well furnished with antiques. The dinner, the wines, whiskey, breakfast and lunch were fabulous. We could not have asked for a more picturesque location in where we had a nice meditation and walk in the morning. Next time we will come back for horse riding and further relaxation. Thank you for hosting us!

As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing moments at many stunning venues, but this Palacio truly stands out. Nestled amidst the breathtaking Cantabria mountains, this venue offers a lush, floral landscape that sets a tone of elegance and luxury from the moment you arrive. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful, perfect for a celebration without the intrusion of external noises. The spaciousness of the venue is ideal for accommodating various vendors, allowing for seamless coordination and setup. Inside, the natural light is abundant, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that enhances every photograph. Just a short two-minute drive away is a quaint, cinematic church, perfect for intimate ceremonies. One of the highlights of the day was the incredible food. The chef not only prepared a delicious meal but also put on an impressive show during the reception, adding an extra touch of entertainment for guests. The venue also offers ample parking, making it convenient for everyone attending. Additionally, the property features an infinity pool and an indoor pool that feels straight out of a movie, complete with a cozy chimney. This combination of luxurious amenities and stunning natural surroundings makes this place a dream location for any wedding. I highly recommend this venue for couples looking for a picturesque and luxurious setting for their special day. It's a photographer's paradise and a perfect backdrop for capturing unforgettable memories.

I spent a weekend with my wife, and we left a bit disappointed. On arrival, we found a handwritten note in the room: "Welcome. Please don´t take the hand soap when you leave. You can buy a bottle if you wish" Apart from this, no welcome fruit, or wine, or cookies, or even water. (We found a couple of small plastic water bottles in the freezer later). The place is certainly gorgeous. A XVII century palace, beautifully restored, in idyllic countryside surroundings. The decoration is eclectic, inspired in period furniture, with some notable pieces and others not so much to our liking. All the furniture is on sale; some spaces look more like an antique shop than a five-star hotel. The staff was nice and helpful, but the hotel was painfully understaffed. Only one waiter for breakfast and dinner in the whole premises. The reception desk was often empty. When I stay in a luxury hotel I expect everything to be perfect. This was not the case. With a competent management this could be an outstanding experience. As it is, just an overpriced weekend retreat.

Elegant and comfortable, this boutique hotel is for the discerning traveler, someone who wants to stay away from the crowds, to relax, to enjoy the good life. We enjoyed a suite in the separate building. Each night, staff will light the fireplace for you, which made the room even more enjoyable. The bathroom is spacious and well appointed. The bed, amazingly comfortable. The main building features a salon where you can chat, enjoy some drinks, or read. There’s also a small bar there and another sitting area with fireplace. Then there is fantastic pool with a spectacular view over the surrounding countryside. Also a jacuzzi and exercise room. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast made to order with varied selections for all to enjoy. Dinner also exceptionally good with a nice wine list. Staff here are among the BEST I’ve ever encountered. They are gracious, quick with every detail, and very pleasant, all of which makes a stay here perfect. I would like to stay here a month!

We stayed here for 2 nights during a trip through the north of Spain. Hotel is in a tranquil rural setting with great view. Staff were extremely helpful, the Duke of Wellington suite stunning.
