I recently stayed at this well-located 4-star hotel and found it to be an excellent choice for exploring the city. Positioned right in the centre, it’s just a short walk from the museum, town square, and the main shopping street – ideal for both sightseeing and convenience. The rooms are modern and comfortable, with top-floor options offering fantastic views over the city skyline. However, I’d advise caution with the hot water, as it can get scalding if not careful. One drawback in the room was the heating system; there didn’t seem to be a way to turn it off, which would have been appreciated. A simple on/off switch would be a great improvement. The hotel offers a continental Spanish buffet breakfast which was a pleasant way to start the day. There are also plenty of nearby restaurants if you prefer dining out. For those driving, the basement parking is convenient, and there’s the option to charge an electric vehicle for an additional fee. Reception staff were attentive and welcoming, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. Activities such as visiting nearby wine bodegas are also easy to arrange from this location, adding to the appeal for leisure travellers. The hotel’s website could do with better-quality photos to showcase its features more effectively, as the current ones don’t quite do it justice. Overall, this hotel provides a great base for exploring the city and surrounding area, combining modern comforts with a prime location. With a few tweaks, such as better temperature control in the rooms and an improved online presence, it could easily become a standout choice in the area.

I added a star for the reception team who were first class. Our room was clean but shabby. First time ever I have stayed in a four star hotel that did not have tea or cafe making facilities in the room. For some reason our room had a full length mirror leaning randomly against the wall!

Fantastic hotel that we have used for the second time on en route from Santander to the south of Spain. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and secure underground parking. Definitely recommend!

Booked hotel for my husband and I as a stop off on our drive back from Andalucía to Bilbao to use the spa. Disappointed to discover only when we turned up that booking a room didn't afford us access. We would have had to pay the same again, which seemed over the top for what it was. Too late for us to cancel when we arrived. Beds reasonably comfortable apart from pillows, which leave you with neck ache. We would have been more comfy in our campervan (which we were also unable to park at the hotel).

Solid hotel at good location for a one night stay on your way south or north. Beds are not the best but staff are very friendly and easy parking garage
