This is a tricky one ... if the Emblematico had been a guest house charging say 150 Euros a night , id have given it 3 stars - the rooms are large and pleasantly decorated - comfy bed and a lovely bath (albeit right by the open toilet ....) nowhere really to sit and our rooms on the ground floor gave the passing trade a good look at me on the loo, but the Emblematico holds itself out as a hotel and charges 4 Seasons prices - 1000E a night and so everything needs to be perfect and its so far from fulfilling that promise that it feels like a total rip off - there is no bar, there is nowhere really to sit - dont be fooled by the 'Library' but worst of all there isnt really any attempt at food - breakfast is very poor and dinner well on the first night where admitedly we were late arriving was a reheated vegetable pie - nice enough and bread and cheese. On the following night - there was nothing , cook was ill and they had no back up plan - we tried to go into the village but as the nice young lady on the front desk warned us - this was a busy time and there would be no tables - true enough , but that would have been useful information to have received during the day - so after a long day , we had stale toast for dinner - i dont want to sound like a princess and if we had been spending at 150Es we would have shrugged out shoulders and said 'fine' - but for somewhere charging like a bull rhino it was completely unacceptable - no apology , no deductions , nothing - in the end we left the next day a day early because its just no fun to be in a place quite so careless of their guests. If you want rustic charm in a room and nothing else from a hotel and if you are fine about the frankly eye watering room rates - be my guest , if you want anything more avoid - these guys need to get a lot better to come close to justifying the price

Had a wonderful stay with my partner in one of the beautifully restored rooms. The bed was incredibly comfortable and there was an incredible freestanding bathtub. All rooms have air con. The hotel is a real labour of love by Jose Antonio, the owner, who restored the old house into a hotel a few years ago. When we arrived he welcomed us and talked enthusiastically about the places we could visit around Haria, including walking routes (we didn't have a car) and personal recommendations. Breakfast was excellent - I liked the bacon and cheese sandwich so much I ordered it every day, and they provided gluten free versions of everything for my wife. We spent a lot of time on the hotel's sunny terrace, with views of the surrounding mountains. It's a small independent hotel and not a resort so don't expect to spend your visit lounging around a pool being waited on hand and foot (they don't have a pool yet, but it's under construction).

Beautiful historic building that has been transformed in a hotel but kept the essence of the house and the charme. Very friendly staff, we got a lot of information about the history when we checked in by the extremely friendly lady that checked us in. Great breakfast that is served in the beautiful living room with a lot of details like the strawberries from the own garden and the fresh Orange juice from their own Oranges. Breakfast staff was great as well and made us have the best start into the day.
