1 Star Review Our summer stay at Los Jardines Abama was nothing short of a disaster, tarnishing what was once a treasured vacation spot. As a returning guest, I am deeply disappointed by the abysmal decline in service, quality, and overall guest experience. We stayed in Room 118, which was misleadingly advertised as a three-bedroom apartment. One room was entirely unusable due to a horrendous odor that could not be resolved, leaving us cramped in what was essentially a two-bedroom space. The spa, once a highlight of the resort, turned into a nightmare—both my daughter and I suffered severe toe infections after manicures and pedicures, requiring medical attention. Service across the resort was consistently unacceptable. Privacy was violated when housekeeping rummaged through our closet without cause, and requests for basic safety measures, such as removing a wasp nest near my daughter’s room (she is highly allergic), were completely ignored. Reception staff were shockingly unprofessional, often argumentative and dismissive, rather than resolving issues. The resort’s amenities have also deteriorated drastically. The pool was barely clean, the food has declined significantly in quality, and the endless construction noise made it impossible to relax or enjoy any part of the stay. Shuttle wait times consistently exceeded 15 minutes, adding further frustration. The one saving grace during this ordeal was Lucia from the spa, whose kindness and professionalism offered a brief respite from the torment we otherwise endured. Her efforts, along with a few other standout individuals, momentarily reminded us of the standard this resort once upheld. Unfortunately, isolated acts of excellence cannot redeem a property that has lost all sense of management, hospitality, and care for its guests. Los Jardines Abama is no longer a luxury destination—it is an overpriced, poorly managed mess. I strongly urge others to reconsider before wasting time and money here.

We loved our stay here. We had the 2 bedroom villa with private pool. Everything was perfect. The complimentary bottle of champagne, chocolates and fridge filled with drinks was a very pleasant surprise. Everyone who we interacted with was so friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurants was great as well. The app was convenient and handy. I think we will return next year as everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you to Abama for a great holiday!

I hate to waste my time writing a bad review, I’m the last one to complain about anything, but here I feel the need to tell others our experience. These 3 problems happened: 1) We bought an apartment for 3 days including breakfast. We were welcomed at the reception with a lot of information from a nice lady including information about time of breakfast, lunch and dinner in Abama’s restaurants. Tagara restaurant was in the Jardines part where we were accommodated and Melvin in Terrasas part (this one was closer to us). The apartment’s card had info about the time of breakfast in Melvin. From what me and my wife understood we could have chosen which restaurant for breakfast we want to go. So first day we ordered transport and asked driver if we should go to Tagara or Melvin, he said he felt a good smell from Tagara so we went to Tagara and it was very good, then we went for a walk to check swimming pools and we got to Melvin which is next to the pool. We told the waiter we are from Jardines and that we already had a breakfast in Tagara, she said next time we should go to Tagara as we are from Jardines which was a new information for us, we agreed. It was around 11am so the waiters already took off like half of all the breakfast food away, we initially wanted only a little bit of papaya for our 8 months old but then we were offered a menu, we were already full but we said we will share one egg benedict (literally 1 egg) thinking it doesn’t matter if we eat here or there, + we tried a little of the ham and a tea. That was all the food that we could eat in Tagara as well. Then we received a bill for 2 persons 24 euro each = 48 euros, but I thought that must be just some intern thing to keep bookings correct and if there is any problem, we will deal with that at the checkout, because after all we paid for a breakfast. It happened in many hotels to us that they wanted to sign a cheque after breakfast (but usually with a zero amount). 2) We got a beautiful apartment with a nice view. It was a 2 bedroom, although I think I paid for 1 bedroom so that was nice surprise even though we were only 2+1. I was really happy at the start and told my wife we need to tell to our friends we found something really worth it. After we woke up from the first night a big noise from construction works right behind our apartments which we were not informed of. We were inside the apartment with closed windows and it was still very distracting, even more because we had a baby. The noise took all day. We hoped it was just an exemption and we didn’t really want to pack and unpack our things by moving elsewhere. The next day it was all day long the same and also at the breakfast at Nagara so we struggled putting our baby sleep there. I wrote a feedback in the Abama’s system but nobody replied. I called to the reception that the next day we’d like to have a breakfast at Melvin (which is supposed to be a lower level from Nagara) because of the noise and they agreed, which we appreciated. The last day the construction noise was there again and our neighbours approached us to ask if we were informed about the constraction taking place. We could have gone to reception to complain about it, but we rather stayed in the furthest room where the noise was low and thought we will just give a feedback during the checkout thinking they will apologise and maybe offer a discount for the next time or something. 3) There was a kid’s camp from age 4 to 14. There was a good surface, some toys and mainly it was in a shadow. My wife went there to ask if she could stay there with our baby and play with him for a while but she was told it’s private and for the age of our baby. Then my wife was pointed to a wet grass with open sun. The kid camp is made for kids who are there without their parents only with an instructor and I understand the age here, but I don’t get why my wife couldn’t go there and spend there some time with a baby (even transfer guy was surprised about it). Really beautiful place to stay with extra space lounge and kitchen for longer stays you feel much more capsuled. No room service but attentive reception and daily cleaning.
