I enjoyed this hotel and my stay in Gävle very much. A beautiful, grand old hotel that has been restored with modern conveniences added! Very convenient to the trains and busses and an easy walk to shopping areas and the historic parts of the city. I plan to be in Gävle again next year and look forward to another stay here.

I had a great experience staying at Elite. The location is great and the access to the railway station and the shopping areas is good. The breakfast choices were great. Highly recommend it.

Lovely hotel, very close to station and also right next to town. I was there for a few hours only and booked a single room, which really was just about big enough for 1 person who just wanted to sleep there (which I did). But it was comfy and clean. The restaurant was excellent. Staff were extremely friendly and efficient.

Very close to the train station and easy walking distance to everything in Gävle.
Very pleasant and professional greeting at check in.
Hotel is a magestic old building. Very five star!
We chose the cheaper downstairs room. Very quiet and spacious although it does require some steps. We slept very well.
Breakfast was excellent.
It would be harder to think of a better please to stay.

The beds are very, very uncomfortable. My sore back woke several times during every night as well as causing very strong stiff back when rising in the morning. The hotel needs to replace its matresses with modern mattresses.

The bed is everything. This hotel had a robust bed, not too soft but not too hard either. Swedish hotel's beds are normally too soft - have tested 4 different hotels in Gävle. This is the best experience so far. When you are staying longer periods and for work, when your shoulders & neck are alive, it is definitely everything! Additionally the hotel's breakfast was very positive mixture of all you need - a little bit more imagination than in "standard chain hotels".
