This property is such a wonderfully unique place. Owner Richard is an avid mountaineer, hence the namesake “base camp”. The property is traditional, cozy, welcoming, and nicely updated with modern technology. The staff is super friendly. The view of Matterhorn from our room is gorgeous. The breakfast is very good. This is definitely the highlight of our vacation in the Swiss Alps. We would highly recommend it.

Wonderful place. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I won’t even look to stay at another place when we make it back. I will definitely book here again.

This was the best hotel we have stayed at during our 3 week Swiss vacation. The staff was very nice, super friendly, and helpful, especially the lady working the front desk each day. The breakfast was very good and organzied every morning and it spoiled us, none of our other hotels offered the same. The room itself was beautiful and very spacious. We had a skylight in the shower and a balcony overlooking the Matterhorn. I loved the laundry service. Yes it was extra but very worth it, they washed it in the morning and by the time we came back from exploring our clean laundry was in our room and folded. I would stay at this hotel again and next time longer. Thank you!

Very comfortable. Large, spacious room. The front staff was very friendly. Breakfast included which was a nice touch. Only a minor issue of cleaning staff walking in when I was still in the room. Overall good value for the price and I would stay again.

Excellent Hotel. We stayed in a Mountain View room & when the Matterhorn appeared from behind the clouds, the view did not disappoint. Great location, friendly staff & nice breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
