I had an excellent stay at Hotel Terrasse am See. The breakfast was great and convenient, with a beautiful waterfront view from the restaurant. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. I would definitely go back and recommend this hotel!

The room did not have air conditioning and was located next to the ferry and train station but if the windows were closed, the noise was not too loud. View was very nice. Breakfast was good. Ate dinner across the street, good meal.

The breakfast is the worst by far that I had in a while. Cold room , cold bread and no staff. They have only 1 person setting cold and cheap breakfast items. The hotel is very nice and the location fantastic, they just don’t care about their clients.

Pros: Views and friendly staff
Cons: The hotel was built in 1873 and I think our bed and mattress were original to that date! Hard beds, very loud and squeaky floors, bathroom was not great, just one pillow (and a barely there pillow at that). I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to others unless everything else in town was booked.

Beautiful historic hotel on the lake—it is older so no air conditioning or phone chargers—lovely rooms and breakfasts—right next to Mt Rigi transport—would definitely return!

The rooms are super basic more o like before Christ time.The furnitures and gadgets in the rooms are so old.
The only thing positive about this place was the location and the fact that is based on the lake.

The Hotel Am See sits on Lake Luzerne with lovely views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The historical ambiance of the hotel only adds to the charm of the local village of Vitznau. We would stay again in heartbeat.

Virkelig charmerende hotel med fantastisk beliggenhed og udsigt. Vi havde værelse 305, og det er fantastisk at komme ind på et værelse og kigge direkte ud på søen gennem vinduerne. Masser af plads og fantastisk udsigt fra terrassen, og dejlig morgenmad, ligeledes med storslået udsigt. Hotellet lige lige ved færgelejet, hvor bådene sejler til blandt andet Lucern, og ved bjergbanens endestation. Der er en terrasse foran hotellet, hvor der kan nydes mad og drikke. Desværre lukker køkkenet klokken 17, og øvrig servering klokken 18. Derefter kunne man godt savne muligheden for at få serveret en forfriskning, men heldigvis kan man købe dette indenfor på hotellet ved selvbetjening. Vi fik en varm velkomst fra en meget entusiastisk medarbejder da vi kom, og var meget glade for opholdet.

Nicht richtig gereinigter Raum (Spinnenweben, Krümel), keine eigenen Parkplätze verfügbar, keine Klimaanlage, winzige Badezimmer, lächerliches Frühstück, 20 CHF für Hunde per Nacht (wofür?), winzige Balkone, Restaurant nicht offen.
