They advertise as a 4 star hotel, but feels more like a 2 star. The staff has issues speaking english and stared at us like "what are you guys doing here?" like they were laughing at us for choosing this hotel. The hotel area feels deserted, we were probably the only western tourists here. Pools are dirty, and at the evening the pool area was full of local people. We moved our sunbeds to get some sun as the sunbeds were placed under a tree, and the security guard came and told us we couldn't move the sunbeds, like 5 meters, why??
The room we had was nice looking with a comfortable bed and nice view from the balcony (sea view), but it smelled bad. The area around the hotel is mostly villas. The beach is full of garbage and not good for swimming. We stayed here for 1 night because it was close to the airport and glad we didn't stay longer. It was not worth the price at all.

My time spend at Zanzibar Beach resort was amazing, the staffs were really great. The manager Richard was so awesome, he was truly a great representation of this establishment. The service my family and I received at this resort deserves 10 stars. The room was very clean, the food was delicious. The level of kindness we received was priceless. Shout out to Daniel at the restaurant he is an amazing person. Will definitely stay at this resort again.

We arrived at the location to have a Swim with the family, we got there 5:30 on a Monday it closes at 6:30, we asked the desk Manager if we could have a swim and they said that they were closed.. why closed when there is still an hour left?

I spent a night here because it's close by the airport. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and clean. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to all visitors.

Zanzibar Beach Resort is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Zanzibar. The resort’s location is incredibly convenient, being just a short distance from the ferry and the city, which makes planning day trips and excursions hassle-free.
The peaceful atmosphere and the beach view rooms offer breathtaking views and immerse you in nature, amazing ambience making it the perfect spot for a relaxing retreat. The resort has managed to retain its charming, old-world look while still offering modern amenities which is amazing.
The food was excellent, with a variety of delicious options to choose from, and the service was outstanding.
Highly recommended!
