Sunset Cove Resort

The most lovely people, always helpful and cheerful. Beautiful hut and fantastic pool right on the beachfront. Brilliantly situated next to excellent restaurant, Benjamin’s; very cool cafe (great coffee), Art Cafe; a beautiful Yoga centre; and a lovely Thai Massage place.

AVOID! Is a dump! I arrived and left immediately. Place was empty apart from one other room yet I was given a room way away from anything along long rotten wooden walkways, no railings. It was dangerous and creepy even in daylight. Manager said it was better to book somewhere else rather offer a solution, she said I would get a full refund. It seemed odd at the time but now they are refusing the refund, so a good way to get paid for nothing, or so they think! I shall challenge this with my credit card company. Non provision of services. Dishonesty also! The Manager even said herself she thought it overpriced. Half the price would still be way too much. Place is tatty, looks nothing like the photos, room was beyond basic, whole place is just rotten wood waiting to collapse. Not a good beach, staff not there all the time, was offered an alternative decrepit bungalow way away from anything also, wasn't really a solution. They aren't even cleaned daily for the over inflated rate?! Hotels.com shouldn't do business with these people.

Amazing resort. No complaints!

Really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Cove. It’s quite basic and simple but that’s all we needed when we were spending most of our time out and about on the island. The staff are very helpful and accommodating and organized the driver to pick and drop us off many times which saved us a lot of money in more expensive taxi fares. Overall would reccomend!

Stayed with my mum for 3 nights at sunset cove resort which was the highlight of our trip! Beautiful pool, amazingly helpful staff and the best views! Great place on the beach to relax or pick up a scooter to explore the island from. You won't regret booking here... we will be back!

Great breakfast, best location

We had a great time relaxing in a beautiful location with the pool and restaurant overlooking a beautiful beach. Staff are very friendly and provided free transfers. Food was cheap and tasty. Only thing to add was the rooms need updating but we spent most of our time by pool!

This place was heavenly and right on the beach. Friendly staff, clean surrounds beautiful and lush with plants. The pool was overlooking the ocean and all along the short stroll on the beach are a number of delicious food bars to eat at. Also, yoga daily down near the pirate bar.

the staff is very nice and friendly. and the thai food at the restaurant is really, really good ! rooms are old, would need some to be refreshed and the bathroom look ugly, old with the wooden bathtub but hopefully the rest if fine. The view from the front side is heaven on earth! The safe is very tiny, can not put a laptop, not even an ipad.

Great resort with many different room prices. Nice beach. Very well tense, lovely clean rooms. Great, reasonably priced food. Thanks for a lovely stay.

1. In this hotel they're cleaning the rooms every two days. Not enough! 2. They don't put toilet paper in the room. You need to get it from the lobby. 3. There is no face towels in the room. 4. The Wi-Fi connection is very bad. 5. There is a bug's problem all over the hotel (ant's, fly's, mosquito's) 6. In the room the television is separate from the bed room and there is no air-condition where the television is. 7. The knowledge in English by the hotel stuff is very poor.

We arrived at the ferry terminal right as the hotel shuttle was picking up another couple! We informed the driver we too were staying at the sunset cove! The driver made a call back to the resort to confirm! No one answered so I tried show him my confirmation e-mail he did not want to be bothered in fact was extremely rude and told us to take a taxi! So we payed a taxi to take us and arrived at the resort the same time as the other couple only difference was they got a free ride and we payed! When I explained our experience to reception they gave us blank stares followed by an insincere apology! I would not recommend this place to anyone as for the price there are much cleaner more well kept friendlier places on koh phangan! Reason for an extra star is that it was right on the beach and one staff member that worked in the restaurant gave great service with a smile!

Nice place to relax with comfortable bungallow. Pool is great for an amazing sunset. It is next to the bit stony beach with shallow sea. Value for money. Open-air bathroom is a big fun.

Super little place in a beautiful peaceful spot. Great, friendly staff, comfortable room, perfect beach front location. Good bars and restaurants along the beach, spectacular sunsets. Woukd return at the drop of a hat

Lovely stay at the Sunset Cove for one night. Staff was lovely, breakfast was also nice. We stayed in the basic room which was clean and comfortable. The best asset of his hotel is the pool and view! Would stay here again.

The staff are so friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely, bed very comfortable and the shower temperature was perfect.

Beautiful views, great pool, delicious food and wonderful staff. The only things we didn't like: American breakfast instead of Thai (eggs and pancakes) and the rooms could have been a bit cleaner and cozier. These drawbacks were small in comparison to the positive qualities of this hotel. Definitely recommend to young couples traveling through the islands!
