Holiday Inn Express & Suites COSTA MESA, an IHG Hotel

Locatin is by a majour hwy and motor bikes noise are loud and frequent in the nights. Cloths storage is insufficient for a week stay. Shower. Water temp or shower valve mixture, is adjested too low. Staff are nice and kind.

My wife & I enjoyed our stay but, we didn’t get the suite I had paid for. I had to go through hotels.com to get reimbursed the remaining amount I was owed. I’m still confused on why I wasn’t contacted by phone to let me know about the room change.My wife and I enjoyed our stay, but unfortunately, we did not receive the suite I had paid for. To rectify this situation, I had to initiate a process through hotels.com to receive reimbursement for the remaining amount owed. Despite this resolution, I remain perplexed as to why I was not notified via phone regarding the room change.

Place was great, staff great rooms nice!, just a little construction that was slightly inconvenient when I checked in I have the 4.7 stars overall

Hotel was under construction so there was debris in the walkways around the hotel and a strong chemical odor inside the building The room was okay and hotel staff were helpful otherwise I would have given an even lower rating.

Hotel undergoing renovation, which would have been good to know. New room, but heater was very loud. The location is not desirable--a lot of noise from the street in front. Had to ask staff after check-in about internet, breakfast (which was not "breakfast" but a togo bag. Will not be back. Way too noisy.

The property should have highlighted that it was a construction site in which case we would have avoided booking. The lobby was not in an acceptable state for having guests through, especially whilst charging this rate. Where were the amenities ie fitness centre? Where was the wifi information? Breakfast was pretty disappointing, a small single bagel offered apples/oranges. Plastic cups in room. Poor value and disappointing that the construction site was not highlighted. The hotel branding also changed to the Hilton causing confusing upon arrival. Standard is definitely not up to Hilton as yet, and pricing should be updated to reflect current condition.

Paper thin walls and ceilings, if you like it quite when you sleep find another place. Under construction so no breakfast area available. They tried with some takeaway coffe up front and a Keurig in the rooms.

Advertised "breakfast included" which was a bagel n juice in a brown paper bag. Aweful

Lower marks because it’s under construction. I’m sure it will be nice when it’s done but I would not have stayed there if I’d known. So lots of awkward space and construction noise during the day. The room was comfortable though and it served its purpose

The hotel was under major construction, dust and debris all over, this was not told to us at booking. The pictures of the delishious breakfast furned out to be a sack with a bagle and a granola bar. Im sure it will be nice when its done. The room itsself was new and nice.

Upon checking in, I learned that the hotel was under serious renovations. It said this in fine print, once I dug back looking for it, but I believe it should be a pop-up so people really are notified before booking. The front desk guy was nice, but nothing over the top. He told me the King room I had booked wasn't available so we were given 2 queens, with no rate difference. It reeked of weed everywhere. The room was super musty. The area feels a bit shady, homeless lingering around. The parking garage didn't feel secure. Definitely overpriced for the accommodations. Will never stay again

This hotel was under construction and extremely dirty, noisy but moreover it was very basic and over priced.

Very convenient location for everything Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Balboa. The hotel is mid remodel, but still very clean and peaceful.

Expidia and holiday inn don’t said Anything before booking about that construction no gym no pool breakfast and top of that charge the same like everything is working and I asked the front desk when is done the construction And respond we don’t Know wow

I booked Holiday Inn Express specifically for free breakfast. This location is not offering breakfast, just some grab and go snacks, while there’s some repairs being made. It’s definitely the least clean and nice HIE I’ve ever stayed at. It’s also nearly impossible to park in the garage.

Hotel was under construction and there was no notice on hotels.com. No breakfast, no pool and noisy. Staff was not very empathetic. All they had to say was it’s on the website. Their website….not this one. When I initially called before my stay, the automated message before operator picks up says, “Thank you for calling the newly renovated Holiday Inn Express. “ Room was not very clean and, chair had stains and bed sheets had crumbs on them.
