Holiday Inn Express WINNEMUCCA, an IHG Hotel

I will start with the positive. There were moments where I asked for information, and was quickly given a suggestion for dining in the area. However, the service was a bit subpar. The clerks didn't seem to have that desire to be helpful. I almost felt as though I was burdening them. While there was no language barrier, I sometimes thought I was not being understood. When I asked for another room due to the uncomfortable odor in our room, I was told it may be the same in others. The area was quiet, but locations nearby had people around that made us feel unsafe with my children. People walking would stare and express concern about their intentions, although nothing happened. I wanted to be honest in the review. Lastly, the grocery items were significantly overpriced. $10 for less than a pint of Ice Cream? $6 for a bottle of water? Another good note is that the egg white breakfast was excellent.

Very comfortable room, very quick check-in and great location. Breakfast was very good. Nice, clean, quiet place to stay.

Service was awesome. We had some issues with our 1st room however it was resolved quickly. Always enjoy ourselves in this hotel.

The indoor swimming pool.

Upon entering our room, the first thing i see is a filthy toilet base. It set the expectations immediately. The front desk only iffered to let tge manager know. It was unacceptable. The dog area was a small patch of gravel adjacent to the hotel which was completely covered with dog feces. Management really needs to get a hold of the property cleanliness or they won't last.

Stayed here twice in same room. Carpet wasn’t vacuumed 2nd time & Strong smell of disinfectant throughout room. Door doesn’t close properly off bedroom & 1 of the shower soap pumps is partially broken. Stairwell steps have remnants of dried mud/dust clumps that have remained for a week. I realize this is out in the middle of the NV desert & contruction / machinist guys seem to be the predominant clientele at this moment but I would expect more regardless. Free breakfast ok; biscuit best option . The good news are the staff & the adjoining Mexican restaurant inside the casino space. The meals are giganto size, so consider this when ordering.

Booked a room with 2 Queen beds, received our room keys and got to our room to find it was a 1 bed. Front desk informed me that was the last room they had available and did not have any roll away beds. Super frustrating. Offered a $30 discount which was also super frustrating- that we never received. Our refrigerator did not work. Glad it was just the one night stay.

For the amount of money we paid I feel like the property and rooms would have been nicer.. $350 for two nights I expected more. We couldn’t change rooms or hotels due to event in the area. Black mold ALL OVER the ceiling and walls and ceiling literally dripping in the pool area- possibly where a hot tub once was? Looked like they tried to repair by painting over but never dealt with mold. Room small repairs were really poorly done, sloppy and half assed. Our door lock literally had one screw in it and was bent. Fridge kept things slightly cool but not cold and we ended up having to throw away food. Lights shown brightly into room from outside even with curtains drawn. Hotel flag was upside down on flag pole. Room was claustrophobic but was decently clean. Staff was friendly and nice. Beds were pretty comfortable. Breakfast was ok and had decent selection for everyone and was ok except for the turkey sausage and coffee was horrible! Snacks and drinks in lobby for purchase GROSSLY overpriced. Next year we will find somewhere better for the money.

I made a reservation for a king suite on January 6, 2025 because my boys had a wrestling tournament in Winnemucca. This is our 14th year coming to this tournament and staying at this hotel. When we got there yesterday afternoon I was told that they had given my room away. No explanation. I would receive a $40 credit on a standard king room. For FOUR people. Totally ridiculous. The kid tried but failed. The pool is disgusting. Breakfast unappetizing. We will never be back.

Cute little hotel! Decent spread for breakfast. Fitness center has the basics for a great workout. Bed was comfy.

Fast, efficient and friendly service.

Staff was extremely courteous and the property was very clean and well kept. We would definitely stay there again.
