The property is very convenient but also very dated.

Great location. Cleaners could do a better Job. The shuttle is great!!!

The hotel was more like a motel from the 60s. While the room was clean. There was a bad smell in the room and throughout the hotel. The air-conditioning unit sounded like a freight train coming through the room. Would not return.

The hotel was very nice, however, for the price they should really provide breakfast for their guests. Also, parking should be included. That will be the only reason I won’t be staying there again.

Great location, the hotel lobby was nice, but the rooms were outdated and the floors were sticky.

2 day pre cruise stopover. Hotel is tired but clean and staff good. Location excellent. It did the job it was intended to do.

Location was great and service was excellent.

We chose this hotel because we were attending the evening performance of the Florida Orchestra which was directly across the street. Pros: clean, friendly and helpful staff, within walking distance of many restaurants and activities. Cons: water heater not working properly. We called and it appeared to be fixed, but next day we only had intermittent warm water. Couldn’t take a shower. Restaurant was understaffed and when finally waited on (10 min), female server was not pleasant when we called it to her attention. Her response as “well, I’m here now”. Since it was a Friday night, not a good time to trainer a “new” server with many people there for the concert. We were not the only ones left waiting. When the food did come, it was excellent so that is good. I do believe we were compensated for that meal the next day because of the hot water issue at the hotel. There isn’t anything special about it other than location (on the river) so qualifying the price though.

The weekend stay was wonderful. The hotel staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The four star rating for the facilities was due to the restaurant. It wasn't as comfortable as the remainder of the property. However, the breakfast was prepared well. The complimentary shuttle was a great addition. Our drive, Greg was awesome. He made our trips around town the best experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely return when I'm in the area. Thank you to The Barrymore Staff for a great weekend.

Convenient to The Straz

Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade. Funky paint, broken elevators, no room safes, no real dining options.

You can likely do better in the area, but passable for a short stay.

we sat at the bar and ordered the charcuterie board...the bar tender set it down in front of us and right in the middle a coach roach peaked up from the food...

The property was old and probably seen the best days, but it was clean and there was good service.
