Being full of contract workers it was pretty quiet. Check in was fast. And changing room wasn't a problem.

This motel was the perfect place for my 5 day stay waiting for a medical test and visiting with family and friends. Large, clean, comfortable ground floor room with my car parked right outside. Everything I needed including comfortable bed, bathroom with good counter space, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, table with 2 chairs, big desk with comfortable desk chair, TV with plenty of channels, place to hang clothes, dresser, nightstands, good heater/AC, good windows for natural light and fresh air and with room darkening drapes and sheers, patio with chair, town center location with easy walking to restaurants, groceries, drug store, movies, auto parts, coffee etc. Helpful, kind, friendly staff. Very reasonable cost. My only issue was that the WiFi wasn't very good, and I would have used my mobile hotspot if needed anyway. From now on this is my happy place to stay whenever I'm in the area. I'm grateful to have found this motel on hotels.com.

The property is tired and worn out, but they tried to spruce it up with nicer duvet covers. Positives: Walkable to shops and food, as well as the beautiful park and City Hall. Negatives: The floor in our 2nd floor room was "spongy", the toilet seemed loosely connected to the floor - it moved and rocked, the bed wasn't comfortable and the "queen" was definitely a double. Poorly lit as well, and everything seemed to lean a little, towels were scarce, and we had to ask for toiletries. There's a balcony off the back, but it is uninviting - cobwebs, no place to sit and relax. Overall - not worth the money. I've paid less for better rooms

This is a very pleasant two-star motel near the center of Atascadero. The rooms were clean, the front desk staff very friendly and I was very comfortable for my overnight stay. A good value for the price.

Overall this motel is adequate. The front office staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The property leaves the outside lights on all night so if you like a dark room, bring a sleeping mask. The price was good for a no frills stay.

Very nice woman in the front office! I asked for somewhere quiet and she made sure of that. The only thing that I recommend, put door sweeps on the front door. Huge gap! Besides the sun glaring through the bottom of the door, it’s easy access for rodents and insects.

Room 103 has a leaky toilet above the room that would leak right on top of you when using the one in #103 requiring you to take a shower after your impromptu shower. From the looks of the ceiling it has been leaking for some time. When we told the staff they looked surprised, but offered no compensation for it...thanks for telling us, have a good day. Other than that, it was a good stay.

First room we were given smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Went back to get a new one we could hear the manager complaining that it was just cleaned and in no way was smoky. (She definitely sounded like a smoker, so I think her judgment was off). Second room was fine, no cigarette smell, but lots of cigarette butts on the ground outside and on the staircase. Bed was old and very uneven, pillows were super flat, shower had crappy pressure but at least it was hot. I know it’s not the Ritz, but I expected a bit more considering the raised holiday rates and for the management to believe us when we tell them the place is smoky. I won’t be staying here again unless it’s the only option.

The place is old but clean and the bed is comfortable. It is located in a very nice area and very close to dining and short drive to the beaches. Did not have problem with checking in except we wanted to have the bottom rooms instead of rooms upstairs because we had friends with medical conditions that limit activities including climbing stairs but we were told that they were unable to do that due to some glitches on their computer. We just helped two of our friends getting up the stairs. I was told by my friend on our last day that the AC in rm 201 was loud but did not tell me right away. Housekeeping was excellent, they were very friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to Janine and Kari. We requested extra towels and soaps and they immediately delivered with nice smiles. Will definitely come back when we visit the area.
