W Philadelphia

First I would say if you would like a more quiet relaxing hotel, this would not be it. This location is a very lively hotel. They have parties down stairs in the lobby often and pool parties. So not a quiet hotel. But more of a fun environment and now I’m aware. My only problem was there was an issue with the building and the alarms went off multiple times that night. I stayed here for rest and relaxation. The alarm went off from 1am-4am. Due to this I did not get any sleep and had so much anxiety. Also, they did not update the guest on what was going on, it was very scary. While checking out I expressed my concerns and they stated the only thing they could do was give me a $150 credit. The room was about $400 a night smh I paid for rest and didn’t get what I paid for. I am very upset with the service.

No food after 12

Fabulous north facing room on a high floor for my husband's bday weekend in Phila. Staff great. Room felt more like an apt. in a studio than hotel room. Lighting great, and wonderfully curated hotel overall. Would come back again.

Great clean rooms, comfortable beds, great restaurant. Could use work on valet parking specifically the text when ready, timing is off and communication between employees seems lacking.

The Hotel Valet crashed my brand new Volvo and are refusing to pay for any repairs. I will never stay at another W and am so furious at the customer service. Also, The rear floor matts had a sticky substance as well as the rear seat.

Loved our stay. The view was obstructed by the curtains but it was it was still nice.

This is a very small complaint but when we checked in there was only one person doing check in. Had to wait. The main reason we were dissatisfied with the room was the lack of sufficient room lighting and some outlets were not operational. Another issue was the room setup. You walk in and the bathroom vanity was directly on the left as you enter. I’m ok with that for small rooms in NYC, but did not expect that in a “W” Hotel. Finally, the entrance to the elevator lobby and the elevators were too dark

I wish there was a breakfast buffet it would’ve been an automatic 10/10 for me

I was charged for parking and wifi . Complained that I already paid it with Expedia. It looks like I was still double charged for wifi . Expect lots of extra fees and deposits. This property did not have the same upscale vibe as I previously experienced here. The valet especially was a hot mess.

Your valet needs to do better! When we were trying to check in the valet attendant was more concerned with himself. He walked right passrf us and others. We had to sit and wait and eventually got out of our car to find someone. This isn't the first time we've encountered this at your hotel. The front desk staff were great! When we arrived in our room in REAKED of cigarettes! We went back downstairs and explained the situation. The agent apologized and said I think you'll be much happier in your new room. We were! Er had an amazing view of the NYE fireworks! Thank you. I will add when we left we had a good experience with getting our car. The female attendant was professional!

This is my second time staying at the W. I stayed in a corner room & was under the impression the view would be better. I was wrong, the curtains did not go all the back so my view was obstructed. The full view I did have was of a corner condo. Our comforter for the bed smell d like stale cigarette smoke. The tv kept going to a blue screen when I did return to my room. I hung a do NOT disturb sign on my door which was disregarded by staff who attempted to make entry multiple times, if I did not put the door stop on he would have been in my room. There was no apology he just walked away. Disappointed in my stay this go around.

Check in was a mess. Was told they would have my room by 4 at the absolute latest. I walked in my room at 5pm. But overall a fantastic stay

Comfort

I do not like to leave negative reviews but everything on our stay went wrong. Multiple issues with the room , phone didn’t work, room service and no food available in the entire hotel, anniversary arrival gift not provided, staff not helpful or worried about anything with the exception of one woman named Shacqura who I genuinely felt wanted to make things right. I nearly came to tears on the phone speaking with her about all of the issues we were having. The streaming on tv also didn’t work, housekeeping never came, maintenance never came despite them requesting us if they could come a second time. The room and view of suite 4825 was great but If there is no way to reach front desk and no available food or room service, ice machine on floor not working, I don’t see how the room rates we were charged could be charged. Our last night we decided to try to order some fancy drinks to our room and we were waiting one hour and we were brought one glass with half melted ice and a can to pour it. For $18 usd I expected a proper bartended drink in a cocktail glass. This is just one of so many I could list. Very disappointed in the service and quality level.

I had to wait extra times for my Car, first they brought another car, my ticket on their side was missing Then after that i finally get my car after an hour waiting, i was one hour late for my meeting I was charged for 2 days valet parking when i did not even stay for 24 hours
